Sure could, but I don't want to see the price-sticker.
Actually I don't think the ideal helper-bots are humanoids. I beleave specialdesigned bots will do better. One bot does one thing, and does it good;) e.g. open the door, clean floor, etc.
GZIP compression by hardware a Joint venture of the University of Wuppertal with the Hagener Vigos AG points to the CeBIT (, D26 resounds to 11) the prototype of a "GZIP accelerator board". The PCI plug-in card removes the time-consuming compression from the processor and is in the current version already 32 MByte per second to compress together to be able. Thus the Netzwerktraffic of a 100-MBit-Leitung can be already compressed in real time; by a modular structure are to be achieved later up to 64 MByte per second. Particularly in Web servers so the outgoing volume of data is to be compressed on-the-fly and be relieved thus both the CCU and the network binding -- a welcome assistance for InterNet Provider, which must act resources-carefully. These are also the primary target group for the procedure patented meanwhile, which is to be used in first standard sets at the end of of 2003. Up to then the manufacturer wants to have adapted also the still very klobige layout of the map on the conditions in server housings. (Christopher Kunz)/(sun/iX)
Warcraft is probably still off the list because of the enemies. It's not human vs human, at least not "by default". You know, it's ok to kill anything that is not human: Dogs, cats, cows, birds, grunts, aliens, etc.
if the phone could just be constantly connected (like my lovely adsl) I would be really cool. I could have my ssh-session with screen and all;) tail your message-log, for the really paranoid.
This is so microsoft:-P Can't they for once get those bigbrother eyes of the ground. I hope more follows Eidos example here. Not that I have anything against microsoft *crosses fingers and whistles*, but I happen to like sony:)
I find it sad that (almost) everytime I read about a game released to xfree86/linux it`s actually not the game, but a dedicated server. Of course, I understand why servers are released so much faster then clients (which most often isn`t released to x/linux at all), considering they don`t need to handle graphics and sound.
now, that's almost as funny as the google mirror: http://www.alltooflat.com/geeky/elgoog/

A even better one was (I say was, since it doesn't work any longer) to search for "stora kikare" (swedish, means big binoculars), google then recommended "stora kukar" (means big dicks)
Looks very cool and all. Cloud be part of a demo, with some neat music too it. It doesn't help me any to get a overview of changes. A traditional "2d"-brows through my kernel-tree with some diffs would tell me more. But I guess that was not the whole point of the project.
Really worth downloading (or streaming or whatever you prefer with your mplayer)
If you want wave's as ringtones, buy a sony cmd-j5. It's cheap too:) It's not exactly wave's, but you can record 5*10 seconds with the internal mic, and use as ringtones. I have had lots of fun with it;)

Besides from licensens and such, isn't java kind of open already (p-code)? So for those who have been intressted in reading the code before now, this isn't directly a breakthrough, is it?

of course, and it has a usb-connection in between its legs.
Then tell me, what is the "correct" word for hacker nowadays? That is, a hacker as in http://info.astrian.net/jargon/terms/h/hacker.html
That would be a geek nowadays, or what?
And what is the new cracker doing? Eating crack and smokeing weed?

_considering_ NWN runs better in wine then it does in windows (at least for me), I wouldn't say wine is crap.

5*700=3500
But maybe he ment 5*sizeof(dvd).
Probably missunderstod it there.
But he is God...
Can God create a cd-rom that fits that much data that he cannot fill it all up with pr0n?
isn't that about the size of a dvd?
It would save both time and space to find the lines in sendmail which has _not_ got a vulnerability ;)

Or 30 lines of perl, as aka.Daniel'Z said, crossreference with privus inputs (experienses).
The computer doesn't _know_, if it haven't got it in memory, it calculates it. Probably by bitshifting.
