If I was a small country and wanting to take out a bunch of satellites, I would just launch a bucket of sand into retrograde orbit. It doesn't take much to knock out satellites.
Just leave him with the Server and PC Support staff where I work. Unplugging, cleaning, and replugging in 3000+ computers was hell with 10 guys. It would be a death sentence.
I just went to the zoo this past weekend and saw posters for the Madagascar movie posted EVERYWHERE. I lost count at 58 posters in the main entrance area. With all of this, not once did I hear the kids at the zoo mention one thing about the movie. On the other hand, I heard screams of "there's Nemo" in the reptile and aquatic center. Can you say formula movies do not work? Good, I knew you could.
Yep, obviously Netscape seemed to forget. They just managed to roll back any adoption of a browser beside IE at my site by two years in the least. Sigh!
This month I went to a software vendor's user conference. I watched their guys trade around VM setup files designed for each demo. Can we say portable test enviroments anyone?
From another perspecive, we use to post inventory transaction to our ERP system at the bandaide level, creating 100,000 inventory journals a day. This is a large load for a hospital's ERP and makes financial analysis a headache. I would do an use case to determine the 'real' granularity needed for the data. Remember, users ask for everything, we give them what they need.
People forget the intemidation factor of a lightsaber. A blaster is one thing, but a long arc of energy that slices and dices definitly would cause pause.
Having worked a job that required the SysAdmins to carry, I can see the point. We had a different reason, being the value of the data according to the owners. Also, we had these nice light blue/dark blue uniforms and sometimes wore camo. (Think on it) You would be surprized the BS people will try.
I do have a question though. Glock 19s, man? Go up +2.
Why don't you ask him? It is a mystery. Of course if you can explain how organic chemicals formed into DNA by shear luck, go right ahead.
Why would an atheist? Someone who 'believes' that there is no 'God' and that when we die, we die should be worried about more important things, like how to prolong thier life.
Actually it is the Newton's Law of Gravitation. A theory is a comprehensive explanation of a given set of data that has been repeatedly confirmed by observation and experimentation and has gained general acceptance within the scientific community but has not yet been decisively proven. We have had theories proven wrong before.
I think the real issue is that we have too many people trying to prove everyone else is stupid and wrong when they should be working on turning their theory into a law.
My personal belief is a mixture of Evolution and Intellectual Design. Does it make me better then everyone else? No. Does it make me less intelligent then everyone else. Hardly. People treat Science as a religion and treat 'real' religions as crutches for the weak, when it is they who are trying to cover over their own feelings of inadequacy. Remember, a real atheist would not try to convert people.
Dell's image has been suffering in the Business World for the last year. They been forced to move their Business support back to the states, due to the ID10ts they hired to outsource their support, there are major flaws to their servers, and their sizing tools are the stupidest in the world.
We are transitioning to IBM Intel Boxes. Main reason we use Intel Boxes, our software vendors tell us to.
In relative expenses, print is so much more Capital Intensive compared to On-line. Not only that, but the turn-around required to post a story is faster with web-based publishing. Most economic projections show that charging 50% less for a yearly subscription for significantly faster news response is over 200% more profitable when going to a web-based readership.
They should offer a paid service for stories over 2 months old and delay stories by 15 minutes to an hour for non-subscribers. In addition, have specialized content for subscribers. With no required signup to see the free content, they would encourage people to check out the site. I believe they would end up with a decent return on investment.
We have this methodology at work. I call it, 'Patch when it hits the fan'. Last time we did a major patch is when Nimda kicked our butts. Of course the patch was out weeks before.
The issue is that admins and systems support are lazy. We haven't moved to SP2 because no one wants to get off their butts and test.
Of course, all my systems are tested out on XP SP 2.:-p
I have seen the Movie "Ghosts of Rwanda". The issue with the UN is that every country gets a vote in the General Assembly. Considering the shear number of petty dictators out there, there is no surprise that we have the issues that we have. The change has to be political reform inside countries first.
As for Israel, all I see is a country beset by enemies that we help. The issue isn't Israel, but the Countries around it.
Unfortunately, they are required to act in cases of Genocide. The UN is broken if they cannot handle a core issue like Genocide. The fact that the US did not act Unilaterally is a point of shame on my part; but hell, I voted Dole.
Willy is back, trained, and pissed.

Just write a browser to send all data to a cache location before it is displayed, like most browsers do. I suggest /dev/null for linux.

Niche product?

COMSHARE, they got bought by GEAC before MS could screw them.
That is why self-defense starts with a 4 and ends with a 5. You would be surprized people get when their friend's head turns into red mist.
BTW, handguns have the tendency to cause great damage, even in the 'wimpy' calibers. Don't play with them and take a training course.
Why? If you can shoot, then you only need 3 rounds.

I thought RIAA was loosing money due to file sharers. How can they afford PACs and lawyers?
Read Wieger's Software Requirements from Microsoft. It is a very good book to work on. Mainly, our process is:
At least that is what we try to do. Half the time, it is 'You bought what?'

I realise this, but a hour or even a 15 minute delay in posting information can give subscribers advantage in some instances.

Of course, within 5 years, he will most like be a millionaire. The Borg pays well, has great insurance, and even good dental.
