Why use a commercial RAD-tool on a system that virtually SCREAMS develop-me and hands out free tools to do so? Nobody needs kylix. (If you got the skills to develop in Linux, you're way past RAD-tools)
I wrote this really amusing application a time ago, it listened to the ports used for MS win msg, and if it received a valid message, it replied once every 5 seconds, 600 times with the same message + the text "\nQuit spamming ffs!". Quite efficient.
Why? Well, my son is a student at a computer college, and he was sickin tired of people thinking that broadcasting MS windows messenger popus was fun, so he asked me for a tool to repent the spammers.

If window crashes, you reboot, and then it's fixed. This happens fairly often, once a week or so.
If XFree86 crashes, your entire computer freezes up and you have to ssh into the box to X11 it (alt. reboot). This happens like once every 5 years. But still, it is quite some mess to get youself out of, especially when you're fighting a war.
My question is: did the data arrive safely? To burst data in high speed is one thing, to make the data actually arrive OK is something completely different.
Why won't they just attatch a big sign saying "Hey! My name is foo bar, i'm working at foo doing bar, my homephone is +0160003960132, my political oppinions are foobar" to your back?
It kinda makes you wonder if aurora has any affect on the beam. (If that is the case, what would have happend during these recent solar outbursts?)
