Real Doll films *bzzt*
Forgive a probably emarrasingly naive man, but there are Real Doll films? As in people doing it with Real Dolls?
Why the fuck would anyone want to watch that?
I know, it's not hurting anyone, but how pathetic to you need to be to be turned on by that?
Amen. I used Gentoo for a few years, and I have to say I did learn a lot on the way.
But after a while, it gets boring. And (at least back when I used it), there was always something
that broke with every -u world. And I had to check the compiler output for ewarn messages, which could be pretty
important. I think the final straw was when a system upgrade locked me out of a remote system I was running , because someone changed the default behavior of the sshd daemon...
If only Gentoo would have had a way to set an address to mail warnings to (a la debconf), I would have been OK. But no...
Now I'm using Kubuntu edgy, and though it still has its flaws (apart from being not released...:) ), it's infinitely more pleasant.
I do use Gentoo for a mythtv frontend box that I have, but that took some effort to get together (had to unmask Xorg, since the default didn't use Xvmc for unichrome (and there was much editing of package.unmask...)
If I had mod points, I'd give them to you:)
For desktops, I don't see any need for large swap at all (maybe apart from suspend, but hey, that never works for me anyway). If you run out of RAM, you probably want the process killed anyway, instead of waiting minutes for the thing to respond (so you can kill it manually). 512MB should be enough.
It's funny because it's true...:)
Gnome: a solution to a problem noone has.
Everyone who has gotten sick of Gnome and KDE: try Xfce 4! You won't regret it. Just the right mix of integration and minimalism.
I get 100Mbps down, 10 up for 195SEK (ca. $27) here in Stockholm.
Pretty cheap. If i want 100/100, I would have to pay around 300 SEK.
But this is a very good provider (www.blixtvik.com), even by Swedish standards.
The biggest 'real' company in Sweden (www.bredbandsbolaget.se) charges about 300 SEK for 10/100, which
i consider very reasonable.
Hilarious. I'm considering chaninging my sig to that quote.
And here I was, thinking that SUSE, Red Hat, Novell, IBM and all the others were making money.
Bullshit. It's just MS that are stuck in a business model that is going out of style.
Maybe I read the article too quickly, but I fail to see how this proves that BSD dominates Linux?
Linux gets good, if not the best, scores in all the benchmarks, while the *BSD scores are much more scattered.
On the other hand, BSD does DOMINATE Linux. Everything that matters is better in BSD....who cares about a MS-imitating desktop OS? IBM and HP should get their crap together and start supporting the BSDs instead of Linux.

*Swooooshhh*
-Did you hear that joke that just flew by? -Huh?
Gentlemen, you can't post smart, insightful comments here. This is Slashdot!
GNU is not Linux
GNL?
Just as difficult as Menu->Applications->Add/Remove..., select 'Games', select 'Neverball', klick 'Ok'.
Please, think of the kittens.
Aren't they in the realm of 'Yeah, but you need a collider the size of the solar system to test it'?
Looks like we have to wait some time, I guess...
Yeah, because it's impossible to change fstab in other distributions... ;)

Ah, the manifold blessings of capitalism...
For people who like actual words instead of misspelled crap: s/chaninging/changing/

6. Steve Ballmer to never, never, NEVER EVER dance again.
Yeah... the experience is somewhat overrated.
Welcome... to the real world.
Thank you for making me giggle uncontrollably! :)
I invoke GODWIN'S LAW on your ass:
Hitler came to power legally.
BWUUAAHAHAHAHAAAAA!
(Wow, I have the word 'ass' both in my sig and my post. I'm really funny!)
Music to my ears... Go BSA! :)

You're an angry person. I won't kiss you now.
Betcha he won't say a thing.
