Obviously you have no idea about accounting then. We have universal healthcare by making sure the haves help the have nots. That means that those who make more, pay more taxes. As well, any business has to contribute to health care as well through corporate taxes.
We also do not allow gouging up here which exists in droves in the US. Only a reasonable profit should be made from helping the sick. So the cost of a procedure up here is much cheaper to perform than south of the border.
So stop assuming and educate yourself.
One problem with this, is the number of models available with Blackberries. Are failures the same across all models, or only the cheaper ones? A better comparison, would have been the top model of each.
Windows XP is the same, I had a few tabs open, and it was sitting in the background. 4 hours later, my machine started acting up. I looked at the memory usage in process explorer, and Firefox was consuming 800MB+ of ram, while the Resident size was over 2G. This is on an XP sp2, with 1 gig of ram.
Still needs a lot of work.
How did the whole country get labeled for something the City of Montreal did? It's like saying all Americans are taking sport enhancing drugs because a few do.
Yet again, another study show lower TCO on the windows platform. From years of Real experience I can say that this is not and will never be true, at least in the short term. The reason I say this, is that I can get more flexibility and horsepower out of a none MS deployment. This is not to say that MS products do not have their place, just that the studies are always narrow, and extremely limited in scope.
They mention connectivity to various devices, but most mini-DV camera's and other digital video devices require firewire connectivity whereas they only support USB. This limits the devices usefulleness and appeal to me.
What do you not understand about the word free? When they advertise it is free, but vharge you $35 (Canadian) then it is NOT free. They should have advertised (For $20US) that would have been the truth.
Work out the math. If 10,000 people download it a day for one month, then 10000 x 31 x 20 = $6.2 Million. They cannot be paying that much a month for Bandwith.
I will just wait for someone to put it on P2P to download for free (Actual)

One thing they did not do, was enable raid on all test systems. When raid is enabled, Intel dual core chips drop way behind in many tests.
