Obviously. That is not the fallacy. The fallacy is to apply the result of a single case to a parameter of a population. The danger is from taking the result of a single instance and deciding it will be the same for you.

So long as he has community support, he won't commit a murder.. I call Bullshit. It is equally simplistic to think that all cases can be rehabilitated as it is to think that there are no cases that can be rehabilitated.

People are complex. There brains are complex. Sometimes there is no amount of love and support that can turn a guy around.

Secondly..Prison is the worst rehabilitation... Constant contact with other violent people usually is a negative influence.

Lastly, your logic is horrible. I'll use your line of argument in another situation:

I know a smoker who is 95 years old, therefore smoking is safe.

??? Well--Are you ready to say, "point conceded?"

What the fuck are you talking about? I am specifically talking about the scrolling to and from tabs placed off screen. I like the older version of Firefox that let me open many tabs, and each tab stays on screen. After that, I got a reply that told me that I do not have to use the radio button on the side to do this scrolling. Instead, I can use the scroll wheel while my mouse pointer is held over the tab bar. This knowledge does make this feature more livable, it has not changed my preference for the 1.5 version of tabs.

Furthermore, the issue of the x button on each tab is a bit overblown. It does make it easier to close a tab. It does use more space. Then again, Firefox doesn't compress the tab as much as the should, persisting on at least a full word length.

I think that the best way to get around this issue is to allow more structure. Perhaps an ability to create a tree and leaf mapping of related tabs. Or perhaps the ability to select multiple tabs and send those to a new window.

Thanks for the hint. I did not know that using the scroll wheel while over the tab bar scrolled them.. Thanks.

The only new feature I'd like to turn off is the change in how tabs are displayed after 13 tabs have been opened. I don't like having to scroll. I like them to be all in front of me.

How about this: Instead of using a one dimensional rating system you ask them to rank on several aspects of the movie: such as:

    Would you rent this movie again? 1 2 3 4 5

    Would you recommend this to a friend? 1 2 3 4 5

NOt only that, but the it is a fallacy to think that issues come with only two sides. There are many sides to issues, and the classic division into two sides often cheapen the complexity of the issue, and provides a way for the mainstream media to seem unbiased while still only presenting the 'sides' of the issue they approve of.

I hear that a top priority in a mixer is to have really good pre-amps. Any thought on this?
