yep. when America falls, they'll owe a shedload of money to China. Enough to make "war or terrah" expeditures look like pocket change. What happens in the US when you lapse you car payments? Repo man! And trust me, yanks don't want the Chinese repo man on their soil, or taking over Wal-marts.
yeah right. that's total bullshit. tell it to the 700,000 German prisoners of war that died at the hands of the yanks, Brits and Russians. Geneva indeed!
Indeed a kludge! The 8086 was touted as a CPU that would let you recycle your vast amounts of 8080 code - which never really happened. The 8080 of course was a hack on the 8008, and Intel claimed you could easily cross assemble 8008 code to 8080. Well, push it back to 4040, 4004 and thus we have...ahem code compatibility in Pentium4 with 4004?
Motorola always had better product, just worse marketing.. If IBM had chosen the 68K in their instruments machine, instead of the 8086/8085 from the Displaywriters, we would have saved ourselves from 3 decades of segmented address space, half a dozen memory models and non-orthogonal cpu architecture.
yeah, except that they are sooo 2006! They were discontinued in 2007 and now are available at scrap surplus dealers for 100$ until they're gone! The replacement announced 2007, has yet to materialize and is based on a 200$ chip. great! If you are so inclined, you could make an Efika clone with the 20$ SOC Freescale chip (a 400 Mhz PPC), but on a multi layer board, adding flash, ddr and an etherphy, you're still looking at 100$ in qty. So better to go with a COTS Intel mobo, right?
this rather clinches that Sandvine is a customer of Comcast, and is actively monitoring any press making Comcast look bad. Don Bowman is CTO of Sandvine after Marc Morin went on "sabbatical" after the last Comcast crisis. In addition to selling the hardware, operating it, Sandvine's contract also appears to include damage control.
I guess the Globe and Mail has got a vendetta against RIM as well, RimBoi?
try Heisenberg, dumkopf!
no matter, you STILL don't want to be swapping to flash! better to load up on RAM and forget swap.
get used to it. the job of the military is to kill, period.
tell it to the allied Canadian soldiers that keep getting bombed by yanks - friendly fire indeed!
the other cool thing is that they have vapourized over 200 million in tax dollars for a few dozen people! Cool!
It's called Payola
rammed an inch for every farking year I've had to live with his garbage operating systems!
not on any of MY keyboards!
moron..
an ontology does not an AI make...
deprecated, moron
not to mention that it was inherently unstable, people died in crashes in that stupid thing!

Before testing or reconfiguring, always mount a scratch monkey

RIM claims that their 3DES/AES encryption implementation is fully secure and does not contain any backdoors - we'll let the NSA see about that!
and also soon to be discontinued. the Atom designs are replacing this Celeron one.
