Wrong. Part of the license agreement is not that you are "buying" the song, you're licensing the right to listen to the song. just so happens that you are limited to listening to it on 3 (or is it 5) computers, 10 (same playlist) cd's, or an unlimited number of ipods (that you own). i personally think that the itms license is pretty fair, as are the prices. but you AGREED to that license.. either fight it in court or go with it.

Also if you take a look at W3Schools user's (as mentioned in another reply to your comment) you'll see they're technically inclined people, they aren't your average joe computer user. In which case those people will be using IE because well, it came with windows so it has to be the best. In the end it is money but by giving things free, like the spyware product and IE, they are trying to keep customers. Since no one in their right mind would really WANT to stick with Windows, there just isn't a real great alternative. By alternative i mean stable, secure, choice applications (office, cad, etc), and gaming. Some do bits and pieces, but none of them do them all. Some of that might not be as important to you, while some might be to others. It depends on your situation and usage habits.

sunbird uses the same thing, why fix something that isn't broke? besides the best part of this is, you can export your iCal calendar and load it into Sunbird and it does the exact same thing. it coexists with iCal, unlike Outlook which obviously wants to remain closed and unopen to any outside influence.

it might look ugly but that's easy to fix after the functionality is built in big guy. why not get something working first, then make it pretty? if you're so upset about the ugliness, why not commission someone to go in and make it prettier? or do it yourself. there's only so many people working on it, so why not contribute instead of bitch?

you are a minority my friend. sure people can "use" a computer, but not all of them understand things at the same level you and i do. with that said apple has done numerous usability studies i'm sure and they continually come back stating that a one button mouse is easier to understand for people.

it also reduces clutter. if you have to use 1 mouse button you are limited to putting important stuff in front of the user and then placing the lessor items in menus, usually in a menu bar not in the right click button. look at the right click menu for any windows app.. it's ridiculous.

also look at keyboard shortcuts, sorry but i feel the keyboard shortcuts are freakin awesome in os x. you can accomplish tasks faster if you know those shortcuts than clicking and clicking all over to find this menu item.
