I seem to have this argument every other day! Look! It's simple. A Werecanary normally has a human form, but turns into a canary when exposed to the full moon. Uh, unless it was a canary that was bitten by a werewolf, but I forget what we're supposed to call those. They're supposed to be pretty rare, anyway.
I would suspect that the legal purchasers that are hindered and annoyed by this, if it turns out to be true, would be on the order of about 10. No, not 10 per cent. 10.
Not only that, but Ulanoff writes for PC Magazine, best known for the writings of tech visionary John Dvorak(?!). Oh, and Dvorak's student-in-troll-studies, Jim Louderback.
PC Magazine is, sadly, one of the worst examples of tech journalism out there. They're almost a parody of a tech magazine.
If 1920x1200 resolution and a 15" screen are hard requirements for you, then why are we even having this conversation? Are you expecting me to try and talk you out of your requirements? Are you that desperate for an argument?
Oh, sorry. I was confused. I thought you had seen the DVD with footage of the plane hitting the pentagon. In the special features, you can turn on the Bin Laden commentary.
The one thing that I am fiercely curious about, that no one has seemed to mention, is how close the attack came to breaching the magickal containment properties of the pentagon. This could have potentially released the demon that has been trapped there in the center since the pentagon's construction.
It all depends on what conspiracy theories he was referring to.
I think he meant it would put to rest all those crazy theories that have recently surfaced that the government is engaging in illegal domestic spying.
The timing of the tape release couldn't be more perfect, as a reminder to the populace for the reason why their civil liberties are being curtailed. Hopefully this will re-scare enough people to get Bush's approval rating moving in the other direction.
I find it totally shocking that the game author would use copyrighted images without seeking proper permission. Doesn't anyone take copyright seriously anymore?
Seriously, logic and set theory. Look at the sets. People is the set of people, regardless of their citizenship or birthplace. If the framers had wanted to restrict the set, they would have. They were very careful in crafting the language.
How the framers defined "people" racially is another discussion, to be sure.
Folder windows consume far too much space for the contents they're showing. Icons receive far too much padding.
You do know that you can select column view or list view, don't you?
As I said, I'm having no trouble running OS X on a 12" Powerbook. If you have trouble working with the limitations and trade offs entailed in using a smaller screen, perhaps you should look at the larger Mac Book Pros.
I have no problem with in-game ads. It's those interminable in-game focus groups and surveys that make a game unplayable.

I don't think I could ever be intimidated by an email
Maybe they kidnapped his brother and sent him a cut off ear by email.
Why stop at Mercanaries? Why not also hire parrots, cockatiels, toucans, and macaws?
No shit! We need to start up a "legal defense*" fund for these kids.
*retroactive bounty
Yeah, this really sucks for the, uh, something, uh, project. Is there any such project to create an alternate GUI for Darwin?

Comparing it to Sony's rootkit is beyond absurd.

You should just admit that you're inexperienced and that you've never had a sarcgasm.
Whoah! That's deep. I'm still trying to figure out what the Sharkasaurus is supposed to symbolize.
Do you need to be slapped in the face with a halibut to recognize sarcasm? The sarcasm tag didn't tip you off?
Oh, you've already wathced the DVD? Does the Bin Laden commentary track make it worth renting?

should we start calling you "non-dairy" or "half and half"?

(how to miss the point, #47)
They cover each others "back", and if you attack one you will end up attacking both.
So, you're saying that in the game Eric Harris and Dylan Klebold are metaphors for the First and Second Amendments?
Thanks!
Gee, given your handle, is it any surprise what sort of Java you'd be focused on?

Pronouncing them "unusable" is an overstatement.
WWDC 2006 takes place August 7 - August 11, 2006.
This is the likeliest date for an announcement/unveiling.
The DVD drive is still a lesser one, but that's because no one yet makes a dual layer drive to fit in that size of a case.
I guess someone paid attention to Dave S.
=)
Ooh! Good call. So far the stock's down 2.91% on the day. :-)
Which is known as a buying opportunity. Buy when the stock dips, not when it peaks.
