OK. I got my freeipods and I'm happy with the service. If you know what you're getting into then its your choice.....and personally I'm happy with it.
First off you don't have to give up your friends and family. All you have to do is send your own email to friends and family and include your Freeipods referral link. That gives them the choice whether or not they want to do it or not. If they don't sign up then Freeipods doesn't get any of their personal info. If you send out referalls through their site(instead of sending the referral link), then freeipods can get your friends and family's personal email....but if you don't do it that way then they won't.
I did mine back in the day when all I had to do was open up and Ebay account and place a bid...that was my completed offer. They don't offer than one anymore....I guess cause it was too easy and everyone was doing it.
So anyway I got mine after like 3 or 4 months. My gmail address gets major spam, but it all goes into my spam folder, so no worries.
My feeling is that you give that personal info out all the time and companies already have a ton of information about you anyway....and they're only gonna keep getting more.
Anyway here's a pic w/ my freeipod...just for legitimacy.
Do you believe the copyright system is working just fine the way it is or do you think that they're needs to be some major changes? How is the current copyright system stifling innovation? What can a major overhaul of the copyright system do for innovation?

Who said it had anything to do with heroin addiction. Mainlining is the fastest way to assimilate a drug into the body. It doesn't have to be an illegal drug like heroin.
We meant it to be like getting your slashdot fix. Natural geek buzz.
I know that's how I am with Slashdot.
As one of the designers.
We knew ahead of time that we would be handing over our rights to Slashdot. It was part of the contest rules. We didn't have to enter if we didn't want to.
We just wanted to get our name out there and hopefully we have made a contact at ThinkGeek for some of our other Tshirt designs. Plus it'll be reward enough to see people wearing our tshirts.

Actually no its not. My roomate drew the whole thing out himself in Corel Draw. I had the idea. It just came from the idea of a slashdot fix. We didn't rip it off of anyone. Take your head out of your ass.
We realized the same thing today after we had already submitted. One of our friends said the same thing.
I knew someone would bring that up.

If the robots take all the jobs than we don't have to work. So what's the problem.
With nanotechnology all of our material needs such as food, shelter, and even medical will be covered. With Peer to Peer entertainment and art will be free.
What's the problem?? There will be no need for money or jobs. What are they crying about.

We changed the shirt to RJ45. ThinkGeek is going to make the shirt w/ the new RJ45 on it instead.

Come on people. A slashdot reader for Governor. What could be better. I've read her site and she looks like a great candidate.
