Why should streaming video be a no-no? I pay for a unlimited data package with AT&T. My phone (HTC tilt, bought at an AT&T store) offers me the option use Internet Connection Sharing and connect it to my laptop, which I do use on occasion when WiFi is not readily available.
Why would using the data im paying for (more than I pay for radio net at home by the way, for less speed) be considered a TOS violation?
I disagree that the difference in method of story telling necessarily makes it worse. I am one of the minority here that seems to have liked all the books, right through 11. Yes, some of the later books were slow paced. Yes, there were times when you wondered what had happened to the main characters. But for me what Jordan gave was not characterization or plot, but rather an entire world.
I became lost and immersed in a world that felt almost as complete and full of history as our own. I felt less like I was reading 'the adventures of a unlikely being who can do anything' and more as if I was catching glimpses of their lives in between news stories from all over the world. Without the side stories of the Aiel or the Atha'an Miere, we would have a less full world with less understanding of the universe that he created.
Paint me a thousand trees, Sketch me the outline of a forest, nay a world. Then let me fill it in with my own musing and imaginings. A good story in my opinion is one where you feel like you know the world well enough to wander into it on your own. That if you were dropped there yourself you could survive without worry.
Robert Jordan was not the best writer I have encountered. But he is on the shelf where I keep all of my favorites that I will read time and again.
Trackballs have a major advantage over regular mice that comes up often in my day. Space.
The space I have for my mouse and keyboard is a bit cramped, and a trackball never has to worry about hitting the edge of the space, whether i'm working or gaming.

It fits comfortably in my hand, and it is much more portable than the other options.
I am not well versed in astronomy in general, but how could it be so faint we havent noticed it yet? Isint there a certain level of luminosity that is required to be a star? Could there possible be something between us and this galaxy?
This book has the advantage that it lays things out step by step. Even when there is not enough time to follow through a full design process, having the knowledge well laid out in your mind when you do your quick design is an immense help. With most books seeming to jump that "middle step" that everyone is expected to know, this one plants it right in the middle making it easy and clear to follow.
