    People who think they are literate from reading John C Dvorak articles and Dell adds (like the poster I replied to) make me laugh.

    You say, There already are plenty of these sites, and I say "show me the money." Not one link, eh? Plenty? Did you get that from a PC Mag article?

    Oh, and about the checksums... look at a popular song, and see how many variations exist in file size at the same quality. Are you saying different files with different sizes won't have the same checksum? Maybe PC Magazine will have a little review on how Checksums work.

    I say you're talking lame trash, unless you host it on YOUR site. YOU be the victim of **IA lawsuits. Unless you post a link to a site where you plan to host such a wonderfull page, shut the f**k up.

    On a more technical issue, you you really think different rips of the same movie will have the same checksum? What if one rip is one second longer or shorter? Or the ripping prog compreses it in a slightlt different way? bang... different checksums.

    You need to read a little more "PC Magazine" before you can start posting such dribble.

    Listen... I'll all for more competition, etc, but MAX OS X is going to run like CRAP on your Dell Boxen, or whatever it is you have, because of NO QUALITY CONTROL of what parts are in you little box. Crappy video cards, horrific sound cards, hell, half of the stuff Creative Labs puts out is junk, and their drivers are worse. How is an OS supposed to work with all this? Answer: It doesn't (see Windoze and Linux compatability problems). If you want to spend hours inside playing with vi to get sound working, have fun! Use Linux. We don't need Mac OS X on Intel.

    All we will have is problems, on the side of the vendors, who either make bad hardware, or bad drviers for their hardware.

    Not for nuthin', but at a local school where I went with my GF to pickup her little sister, I saw a room full (20-25) of 5 year old kids using DELL LAPTOPS and MS WORD. It's a spooky sight to see a little penquin sized thing complaining because FILE-OPEN dialog box is sometimes a bit confusing. They were using portable mice because the little rodants fit more easily into their hands. Ever see a 5 year old girl browse the web? twilight zone spooky. And I though I was kewl at 13, using ZModem and tradin' warez on BBS's here in Long Island, New York. CRAZY!

    Does anyone know of good software, open source?, than runs on Linux, Win, or Max OS X that lets someone with broadband and a camera video conference? So far I've tried Connectic (poor) and XP Messaging (even worse). Ideally, software that is on something OTHER than Windoze. THANKS!

    Nothing? I expressed opinions about a topic involving race, something most people are afraid to talk about in this country unless they themselves are a minority or a purported "victim" of my supposed oppression.

    It is the DATABASE that is wrong. The fact that the makeup of the demographic of the DB is metntioned is what irks me. I am so colorblind that the race makeup of the DB doesn't matter. The fact that it exists is wrong.

    I'm not as elliquint as I'd like to be, and to lazy to shit Shift-F7 (thesauras) in Word sometimes, but the above states more clearly my thoughts on the matter.

    And as for your comment "a place for reflection and thought" did I not post my thought? Or is it only a place for reflection and thought that YOU agree with?
