most helium released from the earth is also just vented at many natural gas sites instead of being used; instead of a helium shortage we really just have a neuron in use shortage for now. Raising the bar for industry not to waste and pollute would have many long term benefits
while I agree the preponderance of "greenies" like you are in fact that stupid, the average car buyer has far more common sense than you and so will pay a third or less for an IC vehicle since the fuel costs for a decade and a half would still be cheaper than a limited range electric car of today
Professional athletes could disappear and we'd still have amateurs training for Olympics and local school or park system games. I think it would be better for society to focus on those things, which would be more like sports in most of history, rather than professional sports.
Or Tombaugh was a genderless non-human entity before assuming maleness as a disembodied spirit making a request over his pile of ashes. yes, I think we have it right now
when I was little, my parents had wash tub and wringer for doing laundry that they still used occasionally for small jobs even after buying washing machine and dryer later. That was used in conjunction with the folding clothes drying rack. You'd think a variation on that would become popular again for people on budget or not having space/hookups for washing machine/dryer in apartment, it saves money over going to laundromat though takes elbow grease and time
he clearly discovered New Horizon by that first sentence, work on your reading comprehension. Hopefully whomever built it is not offended by NASA's comandeering of it for a Pluto mission
You don't live in near a big city with congested rush hour? Lots of radio listeners in that situation. I still listen to it at times during the weekend when driving family around.
My internal combustion insurance is $650 a year. Not seeing a compelling argument there either.

It wasn't used in IBM PCs, but was in some other systems such as Apricot PC and the Altos 586

also good old line printers like the IBM 1403 that did over 1000 lpm...kind of like working near a heavy machine gun.
the Maria DB is the scaling bottleneck, GlusterFS isn't too bad for shared files
meanwhile, most adults aren't gamers; they grew out of it.
not looking down at you, I enjoy anime and I'm over 50. That's probably worse.
uh huh, tell me about scaling your back end databases and shared client file store
use of php is monstrous compared to the smattering of node.js shops out there
yes I've done extensive php. half our servers are in Drupal stack (hundreds). PHP is crap, so is Drupal (bad bad things needed to scale it.
Make owning some property be a requirement to vote, the KKK would be proud

My ForTran IV code rarely goes beyond column 55 of the punched cards....
You are confused, this facility handles waste from weapons program, power production issue are irrelevant.
The smarter countries in the world are ramping up nuclear power production including bringing online new types of reactors.
Nuclear power is the future for over half the human race. There are some places where renewables make more sense.
here ya go, with peaceful water and seagull noises too: https://www.youtube.com/watch?...
Imagine lounging on the beach, with a refreshing fruit drink, as the underwater nuke is detonated. Ahhhhh....
Wintel hardware is made to run Windows. Linux kernel spends 90% of its efforts chasing that architecture, badly.
More proof you are technically ignorant.
You left out the best sound, fingernails on chalkboard
yes they make great blungeoning weapons
In some cities you can still hear the clip clop on various paving surfaces, Chicago PD has Mounted Unit with 32 horses and 27 officers that patrol.

Chinese New Year, everyone older gives present to everyone younger. Best deal is to be the youngest.
