    I've got the entire Riddick game collection never had issues installing it or playing on 64 bit before.

    I think you need a program called YASU to get it to work.

    While vicariously feeling cool there, the AC has a point. I have yet to see a game released even on Steam that wasn't cracked by some group.

    Just so you are aware, you don't need a college degree to learn anything, but in general if you wish to do something with that knowledge there are a lot of companies that want that piece of paper.

But college is not for everyone—many of the best programmers I know were just not interested enough in a general four year degree and went straight into jobs programming.

    I love how they spin this as "not a vocational school", while still it's a school devoted to producing software engineers, which you would think the kids would be taught academia as well due to critical thinking, reasoning and general problem solving. No matter how they label it, it's a vo-tech++ of sorts.

    I fully agree. From the summary what lept out at me was the fact they are saying "drones welcome in Alaska". Of note is

    launched from Nome's shores by University of Alaska – Fairbanks Geophysical Institute researchers

    This was used by a University and not local law enforcement or local government.

    FYI @girlintraining, they don't run radar from the air. Most likely they mark time from one place to another, r = d/t.

    In all these years of E85 hype, there's only been a handful of places I could actually get it. The only two within a 45 minute drive on the interstate are both on military bases which I'd need a military ID in order to get on base, much less purchase there. The others are so absurdly far that I'd have wasted more in gas getting there and back than I'd be saving.

    I read write up and first thing I thought of was run Linux with IPTABLES/CHAINS. Force proxy through squid set the ACL to only allow surfing during the required hours. What's hard about that? You could even get freaky and set your internal network on a different address and ADD ROUTE for the Guests, then again it would require some reading on the posters part and a bit of googling.

    I wish you the best of luck in setting this up and administering the network.

    A rational person would think that any God is the one true God. In fact don't the teachings of many religions point to the fact that God has many names?

    History has proven time and time again though that rationality and religion are mutually exclusive.

    Write to your Congressman urging them to stop this. It's absolutely ridiculous that the US is going after this guy for sharing links. If the British courts found nothing to press charges then why is the US wasting money pursuing this, and we all know it's at the behest of the MPAA, RIAA or whomever. It's stupid to say the least. Here's an idea, put his name on a list and grab him if he ever tries to enter the country. If he never does then he never does, but hell. Part of me would like to see this play out and play out in his favor, he gets extradited, lengthy trial, he gets acquitted. Tax dollars wasted, but the bright side of that scenario would be there would be legal precedent for the next person.

    The Minimal Server Interface enables most local GUI management tasks without requiring the full GUI Shell or Internet Explorer to be installed.

    This sounds like a solid move to me. I've been wanting for a long time for MS to separate IE from the GUI, and it's about time they did.

    There is every reason to believe other life in our solar system will be similar to life on earth.

    I imagine that nature is similar no matter the planet. For instance, from study of life on earth we know that a bilateral body design is effective, this should be true no matter the planet and conditions. If life is found in liquid, that liquid displaced over both sides of the life form would be better suited if distributed equally. It makes little sense that the body wouldn't be bilateral.

    Why should life not follow similar patterns to earth life. Granted there will be deviations, gills vs lungs, o2 breathing vs some other gas, resilience to heat or extreme cold.
