"The agency guards the international reference kilogram and keeps it in a heavily guarded safe in a château outside Paris". DARN IT, they need to guard it better!! someone is obvioulsly stealing!!!! Call Inspector Clouseau, he'll take care of it.
Totally agree, Feynman was a very exciting character. In addition to what you mentioned he used to frequent a topless bar out of that, became a painter.
Einstein, was extremely jovial, approachable and had a flair for women and fun. He played a musical instrument (forgot which), Also wrote love letters to his GF/Wife and a very active public life.
Intelligence and social ineptitude are not neccessarily related as one can develop both given the right circumstances and attitude.
Truly an uninformed statement. You say so yourself, "Why the [sic] else would anyone believe in god?"
For many different reasons, none of which may persuade YOU to believe in the existence of God, but have millions of others. What is truly irritating about your statement is the assumption that people believe in God blindly, without putting into their faith even the least bit of thought. Sad.
I disagree with you assertion that this is deadware, this stuff is in use all over the place and I'm sure the people who use it appreciate the newfound ability to maintain this software by themselves or with the help of other interested individuals. In particular when new versions of Delphi come out, there's a chance that the more popular components get ported.
As for the company, it seems to be refocusing its effort because it considers that it no longer can make money selling Delphi tools. they ae not dead either.
Black Holes and Time Warps: Einstein's Outrageous Legacy by Kip Thorne. It is very enjoyable. Basically a funny compendium of history and actual Physics. it is mostly about Relativity although it also touches on Newtonian mechanics. Mr. Thorne's examples are witty and to the point. Highly recommended
