Pretty much. The Earth is habitable primarily because of its strong magnetosphere. This magnetic field deflect a large amount of the harmful radiation (and other particles in the solar wind) that would otherwise blow away our atmosphere and fry us all. Now, the whole domed-city concept is still possible, if impractical, and there's always the possibility of building underground and using the lunar surface as a radiation shield - but terraforming? Not really.

Its that very gravitation that is keeping them in orbit - its not flying, its falling with style. In orbital dynamics, speed and altitude are linked. Geo-sychronous orbit is not a function of simply sitting at the same spot over a point on earth, you have to be at the right altitude for it to work. In order for you to de-orbit something, you have to apply a non-trivial amount of force in the opposite direction, causing it to slow, which will cause its orbit to decay. This force has to be some significant fraction of the speed you are currently travelling in order for the trash to de-orbit in the near future, and not decades from now. Simply leaning out an airlock and hurling it towards the planet is not enough.

Okay, with that out of the way, my question is this: Does this tend to support creationism then (at least as opposed to a big bang with an extremely old universe), as a dead moon would likely be much older than a "recently" geologically active moon? Meaning, would this indicate a "newer, younger" moon, generally speaking?

Well, if you were to disregard all other evidence that points to an old universe, and were just to take this one new bit of information (assuming its true) on its own without supporting context and information, then you could take it as evidence of creationism. However, due to the fact that we have a lot of evidence and information that supports an old universe, this tidbit, if true, is instead merely evidence that the moon has different properties than we initially thought, and that further investigation is required to understand the how's and why's of lunar geology and/or the origins of the moon. Regardless, if the moon is found to be younger than we initially thought, it does not necessarily follow that the whole universe is younger to match.

What could be more hacker-proof than a paper ballot system?

Well, as far as malicious electronic hacking goes, you are correct, and I'm not gonna disagree with the spirit of your statement. However, a dedicated individual can still do a lot of damage to paper ballots. Its not as easy as twiddling a few bits, but it can be done. A few dedicated individuals working together can cause even more havok. Also, given that the voting machines are not networked, this means that one person hacking one machine is only going to have an effect on the fraction of votes that machine is handling (assuming that he doesn't gain access to multiple machines to hack, but that's a much larger security issue). On paper, an individual can have a much broader effect, gaining access to a potentially larger pool of votes to tamper with. Even so, with the paper trail and careful analysis, tampering with a paper vote is easier to detect, as we have physical evidence, the proverbial paper trail.

For a while, if you played Planetside with a dual-core machine it essentially gave you a speedhack. It didn't affect your rate of fire, but it did affect your rate of movement, and how quickly your COF bloom came back down. While in the lightest armor available, and with the speed implant installed and enabled, it was possible to run almost as fast as a Mosquito (the fastest aircraft available) on afterburners. In a tank you were almost untouchable, and a Galaxy (large air transport craft capable of carrying 12 people including the pilot) could get you and your squad to your target faster than the enemy could respond. It was nuts, but fortunatly not much abused as those caught doing it were frequently reported.
