Are you talking about a PowerBook or an iBook? There is a slight difference!
Yeah, one has a Titanium case and the other has an Aluminum case.

You obviously don't program for a living, or at least, don't do it very well.
Now you're just being an ass... I do program for a living, and make a lot of money doing it, and I have managers in different departments fighting over me, so fuck you and your snotty little comments. You are a fucking little tiny speck.

You didn't even read Apple's iBook return program, did you?
It covers specific model numbers. It does not cover a computer by how old it is. Just because a computer has been owned for less than 2 years, does not mean it is a computer that was made less than 2 year ago. And as I said before (a lot of repeating myself with you) it is a Titanium laptop, not the new Aluminum laptop (which is in the model number range in Apple's return program)

Also, to be redundant, a person working in QA needs to be one of those people that Big Screaming Bugs are obvious to.

So, after all of your posting you have helped me 0%, I guess I should thank you for trying, but I'm won't.

eg. the iBook logic board failures
That's only the newer iBook (Al)
There are many people with Ti Books less than 2 years old with the same logic board problem, but it costs $1000 to fix.
I just bought a G5 and damn if it's not the first time I've considered buying the extended warrenty.
I also bought an air conditioner to keep it cooler.
The company I used to work for was very Mac oriented (now busted up) Several coworkers had Ti Powerbooks, now the talk about how they never move them... WTF?! You pay thousands extra for a portable computer that's too fragile to be portable. Like I said, I love Macs and have been a customer for years. The last black powerbooks were, in my opinion, the best laptop apple has made, they are very sturdy and mine is still running (almost non-stop) for 3+ years. (I did upgrade the hard drive after 2 years, it was making a noise and I wanted bigger anyway)

And more to the point of your response, I don't think it's my job to be Apple's QA department. If someone working for me in QA couldn't catch this obvious ERROR they'd be replaced.

I've sent to several email addresses and used this page.
This is a bug that screams in your face when it happens, I shouldn't have to scream in Apple's face. I've already spent way too much time on trying to alert Apple about this obvious error in it's desktop rendering. I love Apple, but in the past few years, I've felt like the guy who has to break up with someone because it's just not working out... they've changed. (The huge amounts of hardware failures makes me feel this way more than anything) It's very sad, it breaks my heart.

  9. OS X Still Incorrectly Draws Portait Image Preview on Apple Releases 10.3.5 · · Score: 2, Interesting

When the 'show icon preview' box is checked in the 'Show View Options'
pane, the preview icon for images with a portrait aspect
ratio (taller than it is wide) are incorrectly drawn.

View an image of it happening here.

This is a screen shot of two folders I made.
Each one has a set of images that are named to match their size
    (in pixels).
'show icon preview' is on for both of these folders.
The icon size is set to 128 pixels.

As anyone can see, the landscape images have correct previews,
but the portrait images get smaller. It appears the more narrow
the image is, the smaller the preview.
It is not using it's 128x128 icon space.
The 8 x 128 image is so narrow, it's preview icon disappears altogether!

I've written Apple and sent them the link... *sigh*

I'm sick of all my portrait images having tiny thumbnails!

How can I make this clear?
If Blockbuster has my cell phone number, they will call it every week.
    Cell phone calls cost money.
I will not pay for Blockbuster to call me just to see if I still have that number.

    in no particular order...

-Sorting by Artist, Track Name, Length, Bit Rate, Release Date, whatever... ( if you sort by artist, it will subsort by album)
-Playlists (I have so many, usually according to mood)
-Playlist burning to Audio CD (I drag and drop a playlist and burn it in 3 minutes before a drive somewhere)
-ID3 Tag Management (I need to correct all of these track's album name at once)
-Inline Searching of ID3 Tags (show me, lets say, all tracks composed by Beethoven)
-Displaying embedded album art (I'm obsessed with this)
-Use of scripts (this one searches for lyrics)
-Advanced Ripping options (bitrates, formats, numbered files, error correction reading crappy CDs)
-Network Sharing! (I have 6 machines in my house, they all play music from the same drive and I manage only 1 library)
-Streaming Audio Stations (endless hours sampling the world)
-Nifty Psychedelic Visualizer (copied by many, mastered by none & it looks great at 120" from a projector at parties!)
-Party Shuffle! (since I'm on the subject - I love this new feature)
-Equilizer and Sound Enhancing controls (really helps on the older computer speakers)
-Track Cross Fading (I adore this, I used to DJ at a radio station)
-Time and Size management (I know that I have 16221 tracks that take up 32 days, 16 hours and 23 seconds and take up 61.01 GB - no shit.)
-Track Rating (some of my favorite artists have some stinkers)
-Show Song File (I, like you, have my music firewire drive neatly organized, but rarely see more than the file(s) I need)
-Compatability with iPod (I actually don't have one, but it seems like everyone else does)
-Random Shuffle (I'm hearing stuff I forgot I have!)
-Exporting Song Lists or you Library (xml for other ideas?)

    Damn, now my fingers hurt!
