I believe that NASA now "owns" the property since they landed on it. They should now counter sue Orbital Development for tring to charge rent on a peice of property that they don't own.
This is exactly the boost that NASA needs to get started again. Hopefully they will be able to shed all of their bureaucracy and do some real engineering.
BTW I hope that that China's rocket doesn't fail because it is built with stolen US designs.
I can understand why some CEOs don't know how to use a computer, but I was surprised at how some of my engineering professors couldn't use a computer. In my research group, the group secretary handled all of the day to day emails and such, while the grad students were always tasked with configuring my advisors new computers. what was even more rediculus was that he always had the newest and fastest computer to check email, while us grad students were giving slow hand-me-downs on which we had to run simulations and analyze data.
Has anybody tried getting the list of phone numbers?
Telemarketers have to pay for the list, but exempt organizations can get the list for free. I personally did not sign up for the list since it gives your number out to these "exempt organizations" which then can call you as often as they want to.
It because Apple knows how to appease its Poweruser community. The majority of Apple users (and PC users too) have plenty of computing power now to run all of their basic applications. The core group of Mac fanatics will relish the ability to tweak their computer for full performance.
First, I don't smoke anything. I have to pass drug tests for my jobs.
Second, I am now graduating with a PhD in Electrical Engineering with a specialization in photonics. I have turned down 2 $70k+ job offers already. I am now trying to decide between jobs that are offering $80k-$100k.
Getting good grades and putting in long hours does not necessarily correlate to how productive or successful someone will be. I know several graduate students who have a very high GPA, but when it comes to doing something real (i.e. not a homework problem), they flounder. Conversely, I know several people who do not have a great GPA, but they do have a desire to be as good as they can be. These are the people who don't have problems finding a job because they do 10 times more than what is asked of them.
You say to get a reality check, but everybody I know is not having any problems getting a job now.
Is that considered a descent salary? A college graduate in Engineering should be making over $50k a year. I think that it is more important for these kids, who are obviously smart since they are using Linux, to go to a university and get a solid education.
When I search for "PhD Engineer needs job", my resume does not come up first. I am entitled to ten million dollars to make up for lost wages, pain and suffering, medical bills, etc.

It is good to see that useful digital cameras are coming down to a price point that everyone can afford.
