Slashdot has been the official Apple gossip site ever since they announced Mac OS X.

Yeah, and I'm pretty sure that UL and Insurance Companies who cover the homes and offices that this would be going into would not approve of this, either. Cute idea, pseudo-engineers, now go back to making $50k/year for doing nothing.

Not to mention that face that GP didn't even take into account that MacOS 9, with a much smaller deployment base than MacOS X, had TONS of viruses for it. Deployment base != Infection rate. If this were the case, Linux Servers would be riddled with viruses. I'm pretty sure the GP is a troll, his last sentence is a troll within itself.

The Shenzhou spacecraft, part of the People's Republic of China's space programme is most likely capable of deep space spaceflight, and I'm sure can have a lunar lander attached rather than an orbital module. All they need is a heavy launch vehicle. I hear they are building a vehicle assembly building like the one at Kennedy Space Center. China will be the next to reach the moon, they're just doing the right thing by being secret about it, otherwise we might not have killed Constellation.

  9. GM on NASA Readies Discovery Shuttle For Final Flight · · Score: 1

I don't think that GM has been in space since the moon rover! I was supposed to go see the launch, but it looks like I'll have to wait for the April one.

It looks like the focal point is where the receiver would normally sit. He should have kept it on and added clamps to it so that way he'd have a fixed point to place his "victims". Bonus points if he chrome plates the next one in his back yard instead of using those stupid mirrors.

When was the last time that an organization like this stopped a DDoS attack, or stopped those recent people who have been explorting asterisk boxes?

The Internet is the wild west, and we've had to do our best without protection from anyone else. It's probably better that way, but when I hear about civil matters being dealt with through the cooperation of Police, it makes me wonder.
