Don't forget to add in the time to get the software package working every quarter on the cluster. It doesn't make a lot of sense to pay for year-round storage for an app that runs only once a quarter, but changes in the cluster enviroment will probably require some sort of maintenance to the app before each run.
Rebuilding indexes every few days is not necessairily a good idea. A very tightly packed index will require extra IO to do inserts, while one that has 'spread out' a bit due to use will be faster. Ask Tom had an article about this for Oracle. A nice quote is 'No, there are no times when a scheduled rebuild of all indexes is "good".'
Between classes, group meetings, and any sort of regular IM sporting event, keeping track of when the next group meeting can fit does become tricky to think of on the fly. I found a PalmV and a sync to OpenOffice to be invaulable my senior year.
The problem with the oceans is pressure. Space is at 0 atmospheres of pressure, so the difference between sea level and space is 1 atmosphere. After only a few meters of depth under water you'll reach 2 atmospheres and continue on. The engineering to keep out several atmospheres of pressure us much harder then keeping just one in.
I suspect Newegg wouldn't be very happy with having their pages cluttered up with gpg signatures, unless you can somehow make them light-grey 1-pt type.
Lets say I have a DSL and cable internet connection. Since upstream is slower then downstream, I could have my router load-balance the packets. If the ISPs do egress filtering then this won't work since 1/2 the packets will be dropped.
Obviously all of the 'return' packets will come back down just one of the links, as the outside world doesn't know my ip address is accessible via two routes. However, it would help the upstream rates.
I wonder; would it be a violation of the providers TOS for two neighbors to share their uplink in this manner? Set up a wireless lan between the two houses and get 2x the uplink...
Its rather sad if that works. If I report to the state that there is a faulty guardrail on I-90 without specifying the problem location, then it should be considered reasonable that the state didn't reinspect every guardrail to find the problem.
I would think it would be more along the lines of "do what the investors want while trying to make a profit". If the 'owners' want their company to be a good corporate citizen, then the managers should seek to implement that directive.
Their site says their special software does what amounts to an rsync, however the parent poster was probably referring to the initial transfer of all the existing files.
Every week I plug in one of the HD's to the XP machine and mount it onto the linux box via samba.
I tar my entire linux box, piped through GNU Privacy Guard (to protect against unauthorized access) and 'split' (to avoid the 2GB file limit) and store it on the HD in date-stamped directory.
I store the removable HD offsite.
The backup drive is much larger then the combined total of my server, so each backup drive can store at least 2 entire backups. Additionally, I never have both backups at home at the same time in case of disaster.
My windows box stores all of its critical files (ie My Documents) on a samba share on the server.
I also do a daily rsync of the most critical / volatile files offsite nightly.
My answer has been to never use my debit card on the internet. Why give out something that provides instant access to your bank account, when a credit card should always be sufficient? Credit cards put the primary risk on the credit issuer, not on your bank account.
Since they obviously don't have ultrasound, Padme / Anakin had probably come up with a name for both a boy and a girl off-screen. It just so happened that both were needed.
Perhaps a Jedi's telekenesis is strong enough to deflect any low-mass projectiles around them, so only blaster shots have enough power to get through that.
If you are looking for a MMOFPS, try out Planetside. There is also another one called Huxley supposedly coming out late next year.

For those non-professional traders, what is 'Level 2'?

If you get a lock and wait for a moment, the plane will usually drop flares immediately and you can get it on the way out.

The flares / chaff have a fairly long reload cycle, so its not as if you can always be trailing a line of flares.
The DNS blacklists work in a similiar fashion. They assume that you'll pressure your provider to stop hosting the illegitmate users sites.
How do you validate the hostname?

Logging > counting, if you want wpm just count the # of clicks, not record the content.
Do you have any references about how cable monopolies are are result of cities not wanting streets to be torn up?

Materials: 1 Linux server, 1 winxp desktop, 2 removable HD cartridges.
The desktop has a removable hard drive cradle.

You might suggest that the journal set up an authenticated proxy server so that you can relay through them to better review the journals.

Not to mention a cyborg w/a cough is going to have a hard time breathing in hard vacuum.

They only mentioned wiping the memory of the 'protocol droid'.
