    And if you want a netbookish sub-notebook with a real processor, it costs more than a normal size laptop.

    The alternative licenses mostly give you more freedom to make money. Making money with the GPL requires a LOT more diligence since v3 came out. But at least they won the battle...

    Take any democrat and republican and you'll see they agree on something.

    I think they agree on almost everything. Stay in power, and pay back the groups that bought you. The only difference between R and D is that only one side gets to cheat on the wife.

    One nearly empty can has gas. It is a 5 gallon can with no more than 2 gallons in it. The other full can has sugar, water, and gas, lite on the gas. Just enough to provide the proper smell.

    Where is "+1 Fucking Brilliant!" when you need it?

    Well, the location can be tracked from the second it laptop is turned on and since wiping a laptop isn't instantaneous it gives you a (very) small window to track the culprit.

    How does it do this with no Internet and booting from a system recovery disk? It is only helpful to catch the stupid criminals. Admittedly, that is most of them.

    But it does nothing for the real problem. You now need a new window and backpack. The only good solution is to avoid the smash...

    I have installed it on a LOT of random boxes. And the only things that have been a problem were also easily replaced. (Generally crappy WiFi, even under Windows)

    Even if you are lucky and Linux installs with no hitches, you will waste a day. If things don't go smoothly, which is far more common than the Linux community admits, expect to waste 3 days to a week.

    Bullshit... I have never had a Linux install take longer than a Windows install, even with "problems." Generally, a Linux install takes less than an hour. Two hours if there is an odd graphics or WiFi bug. Windows takes 3 minimum, and often more if you need odd drivers.

    1) The did file a DMCA counterclaim, and the video went back up, and then went down again, and Youtube threatened to remove their account.

    2) Several of the artists were just spoken word interviews mixed into a song, not a musical output by the artist.

    I am betting this is a honey trap, and UMG bit on it.

    That being the case, my guess is that Mr. Dotcom paid an arm and a leg for every hip-hopper who appears in it, plus a boatload more for Printz Board and the Blackeyed Pea who "sings" it.

    And then Universal "stole" it. And it even fits the definition of "stole" for us since Megaupload no longer had the item on Youtube.

    Actually, it looks like some of them just spoke an opinion in an interview that was later mixed into a song. Which gives UMG even less claim.

    Reread what you just wrote. So if I write a song, and have you sing it, you are the author? Or better yet, when I sing Happy Birthday in public and get sued, I can tell them to get stuffed, because I am the author?
