We have only bits and pieces of information but what we know for certain is that at some point in the early twenty-first century all of mankind was united in celebration. We marveled at our own magnificence as we gave birth to giant robot baloons, powered with conventional party gas.
I agree that Java isn't viable. The size of the runtime hurts, as does the fact that it's just an ugly language.
C and C++ are definitely viable development languages, but I prefer Perl for my projects. Perl and CPAN let you develop apps incredibly quickly. Distribution isn't an issue on UNIX machines - pretty much every UNIX box has perl on it nowadays. And if you need your app to run on Win32, you can ship the same script and all you need to add is one 340K DLL.
Once you use Perl, it's very difficult to go back to other languages.

Yeah, really. "Mensa Babe"? Even if you were a mensa (and that's doubtful at best), is it really necessary to announce it in your username and then say things like "*sigh* i made it too hard for you simpletons to understand. My fault."
O(1) is constant time. In other words, regardless of the size of a particular data structure, it takes the same amount of time to access an element. This is normally considered a Good Thing.
YOU get a clue.
Hmmm, this appeared two days ago.

Let's be serious - he's in denial.
... he says that they would like to reduce user confusion..

And I, for one, am not posting anonymously.
Duplicating their effors? How much can one web browser really differ from another? And including software in an OS is entirely "legit."
neat!
Tuesday's coming. Did you bring your raincoat?
