LOGO was the first programing language I ever learned (Strangely, it was taught in my public Elementary School), and I even have an autographed manual for PC LOGO 4.0 from one of the guys who works/worked at Harvord Graphics...back from 1991 I beleive... (I beleive I was in Kindergarder or First Grade at the time) Even though I've moved on, LOGO will always have a special place in my heart.
Seriously though, its cool how a main stream publication that almost EVERYONE reads is givving it this much praise....
Well...Forbes had a special too....but...oh nevermind...

What compelling reason is there to buy a Sun box over a the umpteen beige box vendors, IBM, Compaq, Dell, etc? Linux is only part of a low-priced solution. Does Sun think they can make a box cheaper than Dell?
No. But Sun is a pretty big name, and I suspect that people WILL buy them because lets face it, a lot of people know the name, even if they were never sure what exactly they did. IBM got away with it, why can't Sun?
Just use the billion dollars to buy ourselves a few congressmen. Just imagine if we had this a few years ago, the DMCA would have been a joke amongst ourselves.
Well, maybe it doesn't take a TON of money to buy one, but the more the better....aw heck with it, jsut buy the baddest Beowulf cluster you can with the remaining funds. I know I would.
Except that they are writing their own music. If an artist makes a collage, made out of stuff he got out of newspapers, does it make him any less of an artist?
Sampling fees are another issue. I do not know what record companies charge for sampling fees, but if they are anything like the prices that they rip us off with CD's with, then I don't blame them. Artists need to be paid, but the amount of this that goes to the record companies is just ridiculous.
"The music industry charges $18 dollars for a CD......and then complain that Napster is stealing."
So true....Maybe if the RIAA would stop listening to themselves talk and actually look at some of these reports, they might change their mind...wait...sorry, I was having a case of wishful thinking.
