All these characters have existed for at least 20 years. Which goes to show you that Marvel really hasn't come up with much exciting stuff in the last couple decades. Just more crossovers featuring everyone's favorite mutants, with a splash of Spiderman in for variety.
Now, I wish someone would make a movie based on the Vertigo version of Lucifer...
I've played around with Ubuntu and now want to get all my disk space back. I'm running Windows XP. How do I uninstall grub safely so that the computer just boots into WinXP?
Sounds like a stupid thing, since no one would ever want to uninstall linux, but why is this information so hard to find?
Personally, this makes it hard for me to tell friends to try out linux. Because trying it out may mean having grub (or lilo) installed forever...
Word of mouth is an amazing thing.
I bought a digital camera a couple years ago. After reading a lot of web sites, I choose a Canon G5. Since I'm the go-to guy in my circle when it comes to tech purchases, I've convinced at least 5 or 6 friends to purchase Canon digital cameras.
Choose with your feet and tell others to do the same. As a group we've got a lot of power.
Talking about great games, why has no one every re-made M.U.L.E.?
People still talk about how unique the game was, and how addictive.
Imagine how cool M.U.L.E. could be if you could play against three other people on a network? It really sounds like a game that should be part of Yahoo! games or something like that.
I can't tell you what the problem is in your setup. I can tell you that I have a similar problem at work, and it's due to (I believe) a problem with the firewall that is set up at work: Every other site on the net works with mozilla and firefox, except hotmail.
If anyone can do it, it's big blue.
I remember when they first USB key drives were widely available from IBM. 8mb and 16mb form factors.
I talked to a guy I knew at IBM, who smiled at me and told me to expect 1 GB form factors within a year. (Not that I would be able to afford them.:-) )
The boys at IBM can create anything they put their minds to. Marketing is another matter.
News from the future, indeed.

While it used to be true that most firefox users are open source fans, that obviously is no longer the case with the dramatic increase in users that started with the preview release and continues with the release of 1.0.
Now, I hazard to guess, most firefox users are... regular users.
All this means is that they don't click on ads. Most likely because the ads are blocked at some level.
The solution is to use ads that cannot be blocked (ie: text-based ads that don't use iframes), like how google ads are made up. I *do* click on those on occassion. Not because I feel I should as courtesy to the site I am visiting. Instead, it's because those ads have something I genuinely need or find interesting.
Just one thing needs to be done for me to take it seriously:
Get a backdrop window for everything to be latched into. Yes, it's a design issue that's not going to be changed, but it's unfortunate. Besides photoshop, none of the other paint programs (or really, any other programs) have a layout like this anymore.
I *like* having multiple different programs on a screen and being able to minimize and *overlap* them as I need to.
Why do I have to create virtual screens just to be able to use this program?
As long as the firewall is activated prior to any ports being opened on bootup, it's probably better than nothing. That is, at least the 99% of users that don't understand what a firewall is will be safe.
4 years of undergraduate @ $30 K / year
4 years of medical school @ $40 K / year
6 years of residency @ $45 K / year (average), during which I pretty much broke even (not able to pay off the education.
First year of residency I made $40 K, and each year after that was a nominal "raise".
After which I get a certification to practice Cardiology (a branch of medicine dealing with the heart). Jobs in cardiology start at ~$200 K in the North East U.S. I figure it will be about 4-5 years of practice to pay off my undergraduate and medical school debts, meaning I break even and start saving about 14 years after I graduae college.
Unfair? Damn straight!
After all, this security flaw was announced to the public hours ago!
Next thing you know it, they'll say that the patch doesn't support Win/386, or something.:-(
The only thing you have to do is make sure IE is the default browser. Then use Firefox for everything you do on the web. On the rare occasion that another application (ie: your paint program) opens a web site, it'll use IE. Usually those aren't the sites that give problems, anyway.
In addition, I keep Firefox as a desktop icon and remove the IE one.
(I'll probably be mod'ed down here...)
MSFT is probably right here: Imaging your entire system and putting it on other hardware may not work because of differing in hardware that requires different software to be installed, even if it's just firmware revision differences in your BIOS of sound card, you may need to load a different driver.
The incredibles is just a remake of the Fantastic Four comic book characters playing out the storyline from Kingdom Come (a Superman comic book).

It's pretty choppy compared to latest IE on WinXP. Probably due to the DHTML performance bugs on Firefox?
Also, the scroll wheel should zoom in centered on where the mouse pointer is to be more useful; like how zooming works in Paint Shop Pro.

Escape velocity is 7 miles per second (11.3 kilometers/second) That's Mach 34. Shoot me to the moon, anyone?

I guess rot-13 just isn't good enough anymore. (Am I the only one to think "Wow, how the mighty have fallen!" when I read this?)
