  1. This makes a lot of sense on Win2k Cheaper than Linux · · Score: 0

This makes a lot of sense to me. It actually seems pretty obvious. The fact of the matter is that win2k isnt neccesarily such a bad piece of software. It's pretty stable and its pretty easy to use. Alos not much investment in training your staff is neccesary (this assumes you dont work in an IT field where most of your workers would know Linux). Putting working knowledge of Win2k in your job hunt wont narrow down the quantity of applicants whereas for the major job market putting working knowledge of Mandrake will. Just a few thoughts.

  2. Doing some more thinking... on PayPal Founder Wants To Launch Satellites · · Score: 1, Insightful

I was doing some more thinking on this and came to the same thoughts I did on the Space Trip journey thing. Is this really the best use for his money? I mean come on, I walk down my street and there's homeless people struggling for food, abused kids and whatnot... How about helping some life here? Oh yah and it doesn't help that your business ethics are about as positive as well, my karma rating.

  3. It's difficult on West Virginia Joins Massachusetts in MS Appeal Bid · · Score: 1, Interesting

As a student of law myself, it's kind of a difficult situation for the states to be in. Knowing that taking on MS is really a somewhat losing battle as MS can continue to drag this out means that you have to allocate state funds to pursuing a law suit you are pretty unlikely to win. As against MS as I am, I can't say that at this point I could justify my state of IN to do something like this. I'd just rather see the money spent elsewhere. But what do I know? I'm just a voter.

  4. Here's What Will Go Down on PayPal Founder Wants To Launch Satellites · · Score: -1, Flamebait

Sattelite launched, however not regulated by NASA since its not really a sattelite. It docks on the International Space Station because they want better food transfers, however it inadvertantly steals all the food from the space station and no longer will respond to inquiries and complaints. Yay!

Whatch a DivX really closely... take a look at the pixelation that occurs within the transfer... its definitely apparent.

  6. Sounds like a good idea, but... on PS2 Gets A Working Divx Player · · Score: 1, Insightful

Yah this sounds like a neat idea, but lets rethink this for a second... DVD > Computer (some loss of quality) > DivX (definite loss of quality to save space) > TV (loss of picture resolution now). Doesn't make a whole lot of sense to me... I mean I guess its ok if you are all about ripping off movies and old tv shows, but seems like a very expensive round about way to do that.
