  1. My favourite experiment on Top Ten Physics Experiments Of All Times · · Score: 2, Funny

Is to drink 30 beers, and measure how long I spend at the porcalin alter. I hypothesise that the more beers I drink the actual time at the alter seems to slow down... more experiments needed though. Hence the more beers, the more time seems to dilate. Interesting.

  2. Re:I'm not sure I see the point.... on OEone New Releases and Review · · Score: 1

It's funny, I was going to post the same question. I don't see the point. The web-page looks flashy and all, but KDE (I don't use KDE, but *shrug*) does all this and more already

Downloading it now... I really have to see what all the hoo-haa is about. hmmm.

Because I'm only new to /. and my karma was neutral. And my percieved troll got moderated... so i can now only post at 0. Oh well, lol.

My above comment was moderated as a troll, and yeah, maybe it sounded like that. But it's a serious question. I'd like to know what benefits us normal uses will see.

And this is great news, and, indeed, impressive. But my question is, what (if any) change is this going to make to my daily use of linux (for gcc, reading slashdot, and that's about it...) Am I going to notice any performance differences?

  6. This is all great... on A Better Breed of GPS Software? · · Score: 1

So long as you have a flashing font, below the image of your baby, saying "Baby Cam", so you don't forget what it is and suddenly think it's a TV documentary or your radio is talking to you; Can be dangerous whilst driving.

  7. I gotta get off this stuff! on Egyptian Pyramid Mysteries to Be Explored Live · · Score: 1

The space has been blocked for centuries by a chunk of limestone that has copper handles and may have been wedged into the shaft by pyramid builders after they used it as a polishing tool.

I read that as a drunk blocking the passage, after they used him as a polishing tool. Where is my coffee, I'm going mad.

  8. I've dreamed of this for ages on Virtual 1930s Harlem · · Score: 1

FINALLY I get to meet my Angel of Harlem.

  9. It's a trick! on Marsoweb · · Score: 1

A Nasa website for scientists to help them chose potential landing sites on Mars is becoming a great hit with the public as well.

Is that "chose" a freudian slip? This is all propaganda I say! They've already landed or, at least, chosen their site!
