    Unfortunately, most motorcycles aren't as fuel efficient as one might expect, since they're very un-aerodynamic. Motorcycles with shells don't sell well, because at that point most people would rather go with a car since it's safer.

    It's funny that the DFSG don't consider some GNU stuff (GFDL) free, and GNU doesn't consider Debian free, so gNewSense really lives under both restrictions. In other words, most info files are missing. I love Debian, but at least Gentoo gives me all my documentation.

    This is a stupid suggestion. He wanted to remove the formatting; PDF would only preserve it. Also, why convert to PDF then HTML, when he could just convert straight to HTML? It seems you are answering the wrong question.

    This is similar to deviantART mosaics. They don't seem linked to directly on the main page anymore, but they can be found here. A great example of a congruous mosaic is The skin mosaic II.

    Actually, many normal people (as in, people who don't read slashdot) use the google bar that comes with it's built-in pop-up blocker, as I understand. Also, the post-SP2 I.E. blocks ads.

    I started out on a black-and-white all-in-one Mac, when I was somewhere between 4 and 7. I only used Kid Pix and what was probably Simpletext at first, but later my dad bought us a computer with colour, and I learned Photoshop. I'm 16 now, and still enjoy Photoshop on both Mac and PC (the non-MDI Mac versions are, of course, far superiour, but what can you do).

    Not at all, Microsoft would just say that the driver wasn't faulty, the wrapper was. Or, the driver was only meant to run on Windows. Which could be quite true.

    I just got a keyboard (QWERTY) for like $6. Where can I get a cheap dvorak, I've been wanting to learn them for ever. A simple google or froogle search didn't turn up anything. Hmm.

    F2 = CUT

    why would it be such an honor? It's like you people treat Linux as a motherf**king idol. Heck, I like mac for my photoshop, windows for my games, and linux for everything else, but I'm not an elitist.I don't go around with the delusion that just because someone started something, they are God. Sure, Linus is probably a very nice guy, sure, he's a coding genius, but he has his specific interests and that must formulate part of his choices. anyway, my $0.02

    I can't get any of those books for free, they are all books that you must order. And frankly, I don't books more than once, unless the book is awsoem, like Dune (Frank Herbert). Will his books be that good? Where can I d/l them free? Always so sad when another SF writer dies, and he sounds really great

    Wow, sounds like my kinda guy, I love SF, but All I've ever heard of is Asimov (who is pretty good, but outdated), Orson Scott Card (Who is awsome and my current fave), and Heinlein (Who's corny stories suck, and he has a few OK ones). I think I'll go read Sheffield's books now, I need more SF authors.

    err, i meant like playing, i don't do too much editing, but now that i see this virtual dub, mebbe i will! know any good opensource non-bloated media (mpeg, divx, xvid, avi, etc) apps?

    you want to know why? because 1) the games. no, dont refer me to bochs or vmware etc, my puter is 200MHz which even native will barely run the games I play, 2) I recently installed Mandrake 9 (the ``newbie'' OS) and i had too many compat issues, and I refuse to use lindows, lycoris, or xandros, as I am originally a mac user and i do NOT want a windows look-alike, and 3) just because windows is proprietary doesnt mean no OSS for it, they have OSS for Mac and that is proprietary
