You should definitely have a look at Anagramarama. It's a fun game for many different ages, and can certainly be played in groups. Also with/without adults. Also exists in other languages than English.
The game is available to GNU/Linux, Windows and Mac and BeOS. Inface it should probably work on all platforms that support SDL.
It seems to me everybody here want you to patent the idea. But I mean, if this is really such a good algorithm, you'll get FAMOUS and get a GOOD JOG ANYWAY.
Patenting is expencing and takes a lot of time...
I'd either give it to a school, my grandparents who are far away or to some other senoir citizen. Installed with Linux of course.

Shit happens :-)

I agree. Try writing and think in the programming language you use and not some kind of "fake programming language" like pseudo code...
I agree. A single sign on is for REALLY lazy people and infact, signing on doesn't require a lot if time...
Yeah, sometimes I just love Sun!
I believe you'll have to register to download although registering is free (ofcourse!).
True. It also seems to me that they've modified KDE to look quite a lot like the MacOS/X...it's really mixed up...
