Those are some interesting uses of that technology. It would be important to be able to opt-out of the locating services, though, since there are enough people who would Totally Flip Out(TM) over being trackable (think RFID controversy).
The problem with that, of course, is then the only businesses that would embrace the technology would be in communities of techies, meaning a/very slow/ transition to other centers of population. And if you didn't live in a big city, you'd probably never see it.
But I like the idea. Maybe I will write a scifi novel with that sort of setting:)
Great, now they can go patent the technology of using a key to toggle between 'lowercase' and 'uppercase' characters during person-computer interaction.
OMG, I thought I was the only one that remembered MathBlaster.... and I've been looking for an operable copy of Munchers for a long time now!

Sounds like China is all set for some great open source development.. that sort of gungho attitude in replicating and improving products could only help?

No. [chuckles] Although I did have Golden Age of Wireless when it first came out, but I didn't look anything like Thomas Dolby. I don't think I look anything like Thomas Dolby now. We both have bad haircuts and glasses.
Although I often wonder about Thomas, you know. Where did he go? What did he do? He made a lot money there for a few minutes. But, no. No. I am not Thomas Dolby; I'm not related to Thomas Dolby; never met Thomas Dolby. But there are several Blinded Me With Science references in upcoming episodes.
