Apple Computer supplies their own version of Java. Use the Software Update feature (available on the Apple menu) to check that you have the most up-to-date version of Java for your Mac.
So just when is this new implementation of Java on the Mac going to be published by our benefactors over at Oracle?
It's working great. The shuttle program is a waste of money. A lot of these jobs were wasteful government spending. Private enterprise can do space travel better.
It's a wildly popular bill with broad bi-partisan support, a true no-brainner. With that said, don't worry, the party in power will still find some way to fuck it up.
Agreed. What malarkey. Produce a PNG with your brain. You can't. You can try to interpret the signals from your mental activity, but you don't end up with perfect pixel per pixel accuracy. You end up with an interpretation.
C++0x is trying to do this with the new use of the "auto" keyword. I like the concept: you can tell the compiler to deduce the type on any variable you're initializing with the result of a function call. I can't wait to see how that works in actual production code.
Try var in C#. While not as far reaching as auto in C++0x, it's extremely useful. In my experience, it works great.
This would matter if the PC was generating anything "higher bandwidth" than AC3, DTS or PCM 192. To my knowledge, there's no gain to running the audio over HDMI from an HTPC. DVI will give you 1920x1080 at 60Hz. Convert that bad boy to DVI and you're golden.
Yeah, I can't wait to see two dimensional character development and terrible continuity with great special effects. Maybe they can use some digital effects to insert Blake into the rest of the series.
I believe this was an attempt to be right, albeit in a completely unrelated way.

There. FTFY.

The old-style physical content distribution model is dead.
So where do I go to buy 1080p content online?
Good analogy! "Your basic blimp" vs. a 747 is clearly an apples-to-apples comparison!

The people petitioning the FCC on Google and Verizon's behalf are lobbyists.
What's your serial number?
My God! That's the same as the combination on my luggage!
I don't know what has me tickled more, the fact that the galaxy is on a private IP network, or that it's on IPv4!
I would bitch about it on the Internet. Should solve your problem.
Come on, can we be serious, please? This is an important discussion.
If Texas wants to eliminate liberal bias and insert some neoconservative/christian right bias then so be it.
Actually, it sounds like your indoctrination has taken hold just fine. Shouldn't our goal be to minimize bias entirely?
Slashdot stripped out the less than sign. HAND.
NOOOOOOOOOOO!!!

He meant the life of the company, not the purchaser.
Besides, why shouldn't his books live on after he dies? Shouldn't he be able to give them to friends and family?
Haven't you heard? The stimulus is socialism.
Are we talking about I and II, or I and IV?
So, what, two weeks? ;)
