What the MAFFIA is doing is not stopping piracy but attempting to take away fair use rights we had to fight for back in the 80s. They are not trying to make new goods and instead are trying the fleece consumers in new ways. This is pretty much an attempt to turn the play button into the pay button. BTW only a fucking retard or someone in a tea bagging session with the MPAA would ever side with the MPAA.

Bird strikes are no less then 27 times more likely to take out an aircraft then a bomb so lets go after those evil birds. It's a classic case of risk distortion by the media.

But a government with such power will make your life a living hell and the government will become a serious danger as it will go after people who criticize it. If you trade liberty for secuerty you deserve neither and will end up neither free nor secure.

I agree and it's fantastically wasteful to jail someone just for having jpegs on their harddrive. When someone is sent to jail for a an infraction that harms no one such as having a few random bits on the HD or possessing a joint it costs the state $25,000 USD a year on average. This is for a standard security prison Max security is much higher. You could give 50 needy children new text books and school lunches for a year for that. Heck you could put someone though a state university for that. Prosecuting thought crimes is not only as morally wrong as child molestation it also is very very expensive.

It's best to never buy into these so called crusades just read a history book every time there always was an ulterior motive. Hitler did the exact some stuff to gain power in pre WWII Germany. I never bought into it and knew it was bullshit from day one same with the so called war on terror and the war on drugs. It's all the same BS BTW I don't care what people think as far as pedos go it actions that matter. They should only concentrate on those who commit crimes against children going after lolicons and other harmless individuals will only force the real predators into hiding making them that much harder to catch. Plus prison time often will turn normally harmless individuals into very dangerous people because the prison system is so broken one has no choice but to become an animal to survive. BTW many of the people behind these type of things often are the real deal.
