Look, I believe you got this all wrong. And tell me again WHY Fink is a problem? Because you think the Fink-developers should spend their time improving Darwin?

And why on earth do you say that the Fink-developers wouldn't like Apple? Think about it - by making all those applications available to the Mac OS X users they're actually helping Apple. What about Apple's X11 port? Users running X11 on Mac OS X heavily rely on Fink for their software.

Why should the Fink-developers run PCs instead of Macs? Why should they abandon the opportunity to run their favourite X11 applications on top of a killer OS? (and not only X11 apps but all the other great software the Fink-developers have made available)

    You don't make sense.

I think liking the Mac OS is an intelligent reason enough.

I believe a lot of Mac users aren't obsessed with speed and I can't blame them. As long as your computer doesn't slow you down in your work - why use anything else?

Sure, my iBook 700 running OS X isn't as snappy as my Windows-desktop but to me, personally, OS X is such a joy to use and it packs plenty speed for my everyday usage. It's lightweight, easy to use and batterylife is excellent.

I'd say these are reasons enough.

"In the extremely miniscule probability that any of our enemies could have tampered with the shuttle, that "half of the world" you refer to would be conquered in a way never before seen on Earth."

So obsessed with enemies. We and them. Good and evil. Conquering and warfare with great force.

But you're right - the probability of this being a terrorist-act is very small.

Also, when people use phrases like "their f*cked-up religion" one can clearly see that these persons haven't understood much. Islam is not very different from Christianity. However, there are Muslim fundamentalists, as well as there are Christian fundamentalists, who interpret their belief and holy books in a destructive manner.

And also, what is crucial to understand is that our view of Islam is defined by how our Western media pictures it. It's the same thing in the Middle-East. Muslim media show Christian fundamentalism.

So, the core of the problem is media coverage and interpretation.

    This is ridiculous.

Now it doesn't really matter to such a person that the shuttle ALWAYS comes in over Texas and therefore goes over the town of Palestine every time - to that person, it's clearly a sign from Allah.

Your analysis really suck and is a perfect example of functionalistic thinking coming from a very narrowminded individual.

No, you're wrong. If you would have been travelling through Middle-Eastern countries the last couple of years you would, too, see that the majority of the muslim population is against terrorism.

The problem is that Western MEDIA doesn't show us this. Clearly you can understand that.
