I think the former is their position -- that all browsers conform to allw3 standards. Mostly it's about designers wanting pages to look the same for every client.
But above web standards is the belief that content should be accessible to everyone. So a lite browser that displays content seems to be in keeping with the ethos of accessibility.
.6 loads your.5 profile automagically. the only thing i have to do now is reinstall extensions and re-add searchplugins. i didn't even delete my c:\phoenix directory since.6's directory is 'mozillafirebird'. easy as eating pancakes.
So the MPA (Materials Producers of America) will be suing college kids for $98 googolplex US because they downloaded Porsches in 20xx? That's progress, baby!
It's powerful, has it's own php extension (instead of php classes like smarty and patTemplate -- although, come to think of it, the extension is just a Sablotron API so meh), and it's a W3C standard. On the downside, you need to configure your environment, which can be a problem depending on your hosting solution. You'll also have to learn XSL and work with XML but the semantic web is the future so get used to it.
Low commentation (for godsakes, use # and throw in at least a few words every now and then
Offtopic, but, FYI, use of perl/shell style comments is discouraged by PEAR. I think if PEAR standards were more visible, we'd see less freakish code. Although, why they choose to use Allman over 1tbs is beyond me (-:
Well, it's certainly possible through a combination of tourament wins and sponsorship but he wouldn't be earning it online. Unless, of course, he was playing solitaire.
2. Well, for a start you can prevent people from registering with a hotmail/yahoo/etc. Email address (while making it clear that their privacy is maintained). Don't want to give your primary email? Fine, please drive thru. Obviously, may deter 'legitimate' users from registering.
3. Or people avoiding ip bans using anonymous proxies..But then you ban anonymous proxies too.
4. Not possible on a large site. E.g. would never work on slashdot/kur05hin.
Problem is, even if you are 100% successful in banning said troll, that's not always the end of the story. If they can't annoy you by posting they may try to hack or DDoS your site which is worse than simple trolling. If you don't host your own site then you have to rely on your hosts security (provided you've secured your forum) and, if the DDoS effects other customers, they might decide it's in their interests not to host someone who's going to draw such attacks.
Not that I use that myself, just the equivalent in Phoenix. Actually, one of the reasons I like Phoenix better is because you can easily add whatever engine you want to the bar. See http://mycroft.mozdev.org
For some reason I can't use the Modern theme in phoenix. Both modern and classic change to orbitz (which I dislike). I've settled on breeze for the time being but is it possible to get modern to work?
Supposedly both D3 and Q4 will be shifting the focus back to single-player (great news for narrowband nerds like myself). But then again neither will mark a vast improvement in AI.

Solipsism dates back to Descartes. It's just subjectivism and relativism taken to the extreme - and those have been around since the begining of epistemology.

Webstandards probably account for most of geckos 'bloat'. I'm not going to evangelize but there's no getting around the fact that they are important.

Thanks for clearing that up :)

Gets you modded up. Okay.
Could have decreased it considerably. Or built a huge shrubbery...Nee.

But I liked the matrix anyway
"Sorry, links to Bugzilla from Slashdot are disabled." Mozilla even blocks the /. effect!
I was just about to reply with the same thing. You'd need some sort of spyware installed to accomplish this. Packaged with what, I don't know.
That's what our SGI's were used for at the last shop :d
Beautiful :)
