First both Sun and Microsoft invest in SCO, after it *trys* to get freaky with linux. Then Sun and Microsoft settle some lawsuits, which ends up with MS forking over serious money (in the order of 1 billion). And now this. Now they try to pull some pay for updates crap. They sound more and more like one company the more time goes by. It would be interesting to see how much stock MS owns of Sun, if any ofcourse.
This makes me a very happy person. With Western eurpean cities (Munich...) and now the easter countries (japan, Korea...) Linux is starting to get serious government atterion that it deserves here in the US.
As a USF Student, I will be there with my laptop...All I have to say is GO DONS... The computer science department already has a cluster called the "keck cluster". Basically 64 nodes of dual P3 at 1GHz, with 1 Gig ECC Ram. There is talk about throwing the keck cluster into the flash mob cluster, but the biggest hurdle is appearntly laying the lines. Harney Science center is about 200 hundred yards from the gym where this is going to happen.
And just FYI, they wanted it to be done on the 1st of april, but that didn't work out for some reason.
I agree with parent. There is privacy, and there is corporate responsiability (rare, i know). I believe that using info to contact people about a harmful product is a good thing.
Why Bother? No seriously, I mean OpenOffice is already ported to MAC OS X, and I think this just a waste of developer time, I mean yes there should be choice and all that, but not to the point that there are several redundant programs, of which none of them work very well. (Not specific to Koffice btw)

Hey I have a quick Question I am running FBSD 4.7 on a dell inspirion 8200, the nvidia drivers are working fine, but my 3com card is impotent or something, I am assuming we have the same card. SO how did you set yours up.
