How could one possibly even detect phone calls? It's not as simple as in the "old, analog" world where it's like there's a phone line, that means there're phone calls.
An internet connection is used for many other tasks (be it web browsing or email or whatever) and one can certainly encrypt and/or hide phone calls so they aren't "visible" as phone calls anymore but just look like usual internet traffic.
I don't mind being modded down, but I mind if all you techies think the form, the presentation doesn't matter - it does. A text should be readable as easy as possible. Therefor it is not advisable to set it all italic. Fewer people might read it, fewer people might get the message. And usually that's not what you as a writer want.

I have no problem with this, really, and as said above I agree with Moglen - but not under the header just the facts! The facts would be like sco said..., sco did..., ibm answered.... But what Moglen wrote are not facts but judgements (and yes, I do agree with them!)
While I agree with most things said in this paper it's just propaganda as well. There's the header Just The Facts and in the first paragraph under this header you can find the phrase SCO's cavalier attitude toward copyright law - that's not a fact, it's an interpretation. This could well have been just a mistake (Which of course I do not believe either - still you can't call it fact!)
Of course, the original SliMP3 doesn't fit well to hifi components either. But I just liked its look better. Matter of taste, I guess:)
Yes, I like the Audiotron too. I look really good, a simple and clean front. Terratec has a nice one as well, the Digital Radio DR 1000. (They had an even cuter one some time ago, the Terratec M3Po)
While the successor's new features are certainly cool (I specially like the digital audio out) I prefered the original SliMP3's look. It just looked more exclusive, didn't have that cheap plastic look.
There's a 7.2.1 version available at least. While not good for a production server you might use it for usual developments where you don't need the newest features.
While most of the "spam" I get nowadays is sent by fast spreading Microsoft worms, these empty or seemingly "useless" spam messages are something I wondered about as well. Who sends them and whatfor? I just don't get the motivation to waste your time/resources to send empty messages.. does anything have any insights to offer? - Thanks!
While it's not good with all this censorship thing it certainly would be good to put a worldwide thing like the internet under international control. at the moment the usa more or less control the internet - that's not a good situation.
Even if the UN aren't what they were some decades ago they're still the only really international organisation of nations.
Since Internet is quite a proper name nowadays I wouldn't call it "model of the internet". It's just a simple WAN intended as a test-bed for various incidents which can happen on the Internet.
Option 1: Digital doesn't mean 0 or 1. Or on or off. That's be binary. Digital just says "in steps, not continuous". At least that's what most dictionaries say.
Option 2: According to above mentioned definition that's still be digital - as long as the "50 distinct levels" are here. If measures the intensity continuously that'd be analog.
Correct me if I am completely wrong but that's what most of the dictionaries and encyclopedias I used say..
Isn't Skype audio only while this is audio/video?

Thanks for the review, but it is rather pointless to write a whole story/article in italic. Italice (oblique) is kind of mark up.

It's still a labour-intensive task - for the dbms. While vacuuming you can't really do much else with the database.
Perhaps they'll underbid comptetitor's per song prices - but I bet they'll make the songs heavily DRMed.

Isn't optical digital (in contrast to analog) as well?
