It would have been nice if the write-up gave a little more detail. It was encrypted using a Vigenere cipher with a key of "BALTIMORE".

Have you any clue what the Golan Heights are like? It's a natural border... conceeding the mountainous Golan would be a huge tactical mistake. Sure, it may have belonged to other nations at one point, but it was taken for very practical reasons.
Virtually all the land in the world is currently occupied by peoples who took that property by force. It's the way of the world. Maybe apologies should be made, but I don't believe giving back land taken in a war is the "right thing to do" if it leaves Israel exposed.
Finally, the scientific educational establishment has hurt this area. For example, the "new mathematics" movement resulted in more purity in elementary math education - no doubt to the benefit of those who would become mathematicians, - but to the detriment of everyone else.
What?!? Understanding "pure" math instead of being taught specific applications is detrimental? That's not clear to me at all. If we teach our kids "pure" math, we are teaching them how to think... how to take known facts and combine them in creative ways to prove and discover other facts is a skill that could benefit everyone.
Maybe you'd like to turn all our schools into trade schools, but if you want to make kids into rational, thinking adults, teaching pure math is not going to be detrimental to that goal.

Napster has legitimate uses... the fact that it has become popular because people use it to do illegal things does not make it illegal. And even if they were banking on people using it to do illegal things, their actions are still legit.
I consider myself a music enthusiast. My MP3 collection is over 30 gigs and I buy CD's regularly.
But the CD's I buy tend to be from smaller labels and I purchase them from smaller shops. Being able to download the popular music from the bigger labels for free allows me to spend my money on rarer stuff, which I'm sure isn't going to make the Sony or Arista bigwigs any happier.
Basically, the car companies are in bed with the gas companies and no one really gives a damn about the environment.

You are claiming that Pi = 30/10 = 3, biblically speaking... but if we also multiply by 111/106 we get 333/106, which is the third continued fraction approximate to Pi, where 3 is the first.
Entrapment only applies to law enforcement officials, not to normal citizens. This means that Metallica could legally put up a booby trap file and do as they please with that information.
