Learn to read: "Apple will work with Oracle on Java SE 7 and future versions where Apple will contribute most of the key components, tools and technology including HotSpot JVM, class libraries, networking stack and the foundation for a new graphical client."
This is exactly what Apple does. The difference is only that they are no longer including Java by default on OS/X.
Stop drinking the Google kool-ade. What you wrote makes no scene at all. NaCI doesn't garbage collect? So it just crashes after a while by using up all memory? Since you don't know what you're talking about why not not shut up.
That would be cool. Sun worked with Sony for years on blue ray and wanted a JVM for the playstation. Sony unfortunately declined.... We'll have to wait and see...
We've implemented many integrations with various PACS with HL7 and DICOM. Centricity seems to have a DICOM conformance statement so you should be able to pull images etc via DICOM,
Seriously? Smalltalk failed do to bad marketing? This is a fallacy of the highest order. Languages become popular because they solve real problems. What problems did Smalltalk solve?
Smalltalk is unmaintainable for teams - Java is highly maintainable over a long period of time.
Smalltalk has no goal to be cross-platform - Java does.
Smalltalk has no standard for math, memory or treading - Java does.
Real world solutions sell a language. Not academic "pure oop" nonsense.
How many Linux users will actually pay for any of this? My guess is hardly any. It will be interesting to come back to Desura in a year and see how their doing.
Sad that in 2012 people are still confused by this.
Why didn't Oracle sue over trademarks? It worked well for Sun v Microsoft.
Which is good you fucken inbred shit eating monkey since Apple is incompetent at providing security updates to its users.

Citation? I thought not.
Because Bethesda is a FAIL game company.

"If NaCl gets sufficient momentum." There fixed that for you.
Wrong. IntelliJ IDEA is.
Of course this is a one sided story. This is slashdot.

M$ doesn't like blue-ray because it runs Java. My guess is that they'll create a propitiatory format.

Well you did - and provided no evidence that I'm incorrect about anything. You fail.

Why would any company be doing any serious development for Linux since no one will pay for anything?

Question: "What modern technology do you wish you had growing up and why?"
Stallman: "In terms of freedom, computing technology is getting worse."
Nice sidestep Richard. How about just answering the simple question? We would have been interested in your answer.
You mean copy / paste? M$ will be looking for you...
Nice.
Exactly. Thanks. I was really expecting to me modded troll posting this on slashdot.
