Um, no. Just get TaxCut (not Turbo Tax, this year:-( )
Fill in the Sched C forms. no problem
I have done this for years with no problems, and no quarterly filing hassle. Just make sure you are close to the correct withholding (See your HR person if you have a "real" job to do extra withholding if you need it.)
My wife has make 15-20K/yr Sched C, and I am 0-20K sched C side jobs. I never file quarterly and always come out OK, tax-wise. I was out of work (real-job-wise) for much of last year. No problems.
It took me less than 2 hrs to do 4 tax returns with TaxCut (I got my pre-paid $$ back from Intuit on TurboTax, didn't want to potentially ice my complex multiboot system.)
The 4 returns were 2 kids, 1 father-in-law, plus my joint return including 2 sched C biz (me an my wife).
Actually, I was just reading in a photography magazine that the private owners of a TREE have copyrighted it. I.e. you can take a photo of it (it is on the coastline drive in california), but you cannot publish it without permission! Your own photograph!
The implication that these folks should do something (that YOU approve of) with their wealth, rather than doing whatever they are or are not doing with it.
Some passing thoughts on the matter.
1) They didn't *take* the wealth from anyone, by and large it was *created*.
2) The $885 Billion is "on paper", what do you supposed would happen if the 400 tried to make it all liquid? The values of the underlying stocks would plummet and of what was left would be heavily taxed, for the most part, so it's not like these guys have billions lying around to give away - most of it is "at work" tied up in capital investments.
3) If they did distribute the wealth, evenly amongst all of us earthlings, it would be (assuming no value loss, or taxes) $147.00 EACH. That might be nice for some of the mud-hutters of the world, but isn't going to change life for most of us. Of course, in the real world this wouldn't work due to #2, and the resulting inflation if everyone had some extra bucks, all of a sudden-like.
4) So, I'd say the best thing that can be done with this wealth, is to leave it where it is, for the most part, and I am sure there is a fair amount of philanthropy going on, etc.
more could be said, and probably has. Enough ranting by me.
And, if your credit card company likes you, they might not even ding you for the $50. I once had a spree of charges on a card and AT&T removed all the odd charges, issued me a new number. No fuss, no muss, no $50.
This was about 12 years ago, and was a card that never left my posession - I suspect an oil-change reciept stolen from the car was used to "burn" a new card.
The most hilarious thing charged was about $1400 to a legal firm!

chill, peace-out.
So what if a computer can/cannot beat a human player at chess.
Open question: What would be a better test (to see how "smart" computers have become)?
Computers suck (my professional opinion).
Of course, humans suck too, so it's a toss-up.

Not at all.
