Only allowing access to parts of the kernel memory space a module subscribes too might be a nice way to increase robustness.
But it would seriously reduce performance, this is why for example, that selectors are used so rarely.
Well non-developer users are a PAIN.
There is a real lack of good hacker/coder/developer friendly places these days, normal users always just swarm into these places and think they should be able to install linux and start shitting complaints all over the place.
Image can offset quality.
Being a rational buyer might be the best for our wallets, it just too cummbersome most of the time.
Current culture 'likes' highly marketed goods, hopefully that will decline and prices will drop and quality will go up.
Just remember that everytime your annoyed by a commerical that its payed for by someone why liked the commercial enough to buy the product.
Brand clothing prices are probably 30-50% made up of marketing costs.
If something like that would work it would cause economic breakdown.
Capitalism only works if the buyer searches for products they actually want/need at the best quality and lowest price.
Break any of those and its something else.
Finally got my bittorrent proxy working for a few of the audio blog feeds.
http://blue.student.utwente.nl/jrss/blbtab.rss its not really usefull yet but i could use some help debugging.
Well your saying it yourself.
You have a book that gives a glimpse into thoughts.
Having a glimpse and then making assumptions and saying it as fact is just WRONG.
That and the bible doesnt give any sort of concistent picture, the god of jezus is very different to the one of mozes.
To have consistent looking application you still need to do everything in the server.
Adding more layers like is now happening with X and GTK or one of the other packages, is one way of doing that.
And moving this to the server instead of the client makes it all abit faster because less data has to be moved long distance
Doesnt flashmemory have a very limited amount of reliable writes compared to disk or common ram ?
Something like 10^6 or so, that amount of writes i can get in a day by swapping.
As a developer you soon notice that treating html as xml is an easy way to make generation easier and with less bugs.
The problem with these disclaimers is not that they exsist. The problem is that software that is fit, for a use worth mentioning, is vanishing.

Why would I want to help anyone use my program ?
I want my program to be popular.
I want to get paid for my work.
I'm a nice person.
Nope none of the above, so rtfm and if that doesn't work you can read the source code.
I'm not working against you, i'm just not helping you.
And if you can't make head or tails of my specific taste in spagethi code, why is that my problem?
Is you sig a Godwin's law violation ?
RSS just isn't handy for news sites, but it becomes really handy for tracking for very good blogs that update seldom and/or irregularly.
This only makes sense if you have a single instance. (ie. Singleton) class. Sounds like your a C user lost in OO land

prefetch dont really sound critical, so maybe filter out these intructions out of the binary and put back some nops ?

Ow yes, implying that you know what god is thinking isnt sinfull.
The tools are there, why not use them. Or just use java.
Gigabit university connection. 1Gbit/sec is 3 Petabytes per year of storage or about 20000 large harddrives. Right, yup, impossible.
Yeah so ? Why not start with one of the big cities like newyork and get 100mbit options avaialble to one dense area first ?

The author of Ghost in the shell and loads more seems to be churning out more then enough stuff thats far away. Altough nothing very unique
By trying to model these markets and acting on them will change the system making your model obselete again.
So java changed to little for you ? Anyways mono will not have c#2.0 support for a while to come.
Not really something you can hold gosling personally responsible for. And java generics arent as bad as you try to make them seem.
