This sounds like lets change X religion in N ways so every one will want to be X religion. This is a bad thing; nothing is the right thing for everything. I love Linux for it's choices. I use enlightenment; under a unified GUI; it would be gone. I know this may sound like hersey, but windows may just be the right thing for some people.
Yes, PeopleSoft is very expensive and those greedy folks at WebCT expect to make a profit, but they have to pay for quality software to be developed and so do we!
My School has just switched to the dreaded PeopleSoft academic software...It is horrible; for example some Seniors had their enrollment appointment (to apply for classes next semester) moved on them randomly...so much for quality...
Look at the Fujitsu P1000 (webshop.fugitsupc.com). It is a mini laptop (8.9 inch screen) with key-board and touch-screen. It also incudes an 56k modem.
