You continuously bring realms down too fix issues and its been one of the most burning issues with your users. Why aren't your server Farm redundant so that players can get uninterrupted play won one farm while you fix another and then switch.

Come On !! I can understand that liking or disliking OS X is a pure taste issue; but putting OS X in the "anything but windows" category is a tough pill to swallow.
I'm a Mac convert myself, and I run a couple of Linux Boxes (and I love'em) but OS X's interface is by far the most coherent, uniform, and productive GUI I've every used (excluding Tiger's Mail.app)..
I've noticed that the number of messages I'm getting from Paypal and EBay are increasing dramatically.
The problem is that they are pretty organized; you get one, then a follow up, then a final warning and so on. I can imagine that a majority of Mom and Pop type of users finally succumb to theses sort of attacks since they seem to be pretty well coherent !
I'm not sure if this is practical, but how hard is it to actually manually add the missing information after the restoration is done ? Just put back the "Missing Vine" and your done:-D
When this first happened I remember I read somewhere that the NASA engineers outlined their trouble shooting approach by indicating that they will try to duplicate the situation here on earth and will study every maneuver before performing anything on the real thing on Mars so they won't have to resort to forceful trial and error maneuvering

The apple design is, however, what i'd call bad. They've taken a microkernel (Mach), and implemented a monolithic kernel beneath it, to run their legacy apps!!! It's ugly!
I would disagree with you there. Apple's design may not be beautiful, but it certainly has the best of both worlds.
The BSD Layer, Memeory Managment, etc are all built inside XNU (OS X Kernel) but at the same time its still functions as a microkernel allowing things such as Kernel Extensions (Kext).
The problem with a fully MicroKernel is that its very slow because of all the context switching that has to go on between userland/and kernel land to do what is essentially kernel functionality. Apple solved this by making XNU not act as a microkernel for things such as the BSD layer.
The result is a Kernel that is less prone to panics. In Linux a bad KLM would certainly panic the kernel because it runs in the same address space as the kernel. In OS X a bad Kext would just die like anyother user space program.
As you said, it may be ugly in your opinion, but it gets the job done, it has the best of both worlds, and its less prone to panics. Now that's what I call a step in the right direction.
I'll give you a simple example. Here when you wanna read a book, you go to your local book store, or Library, or order it online with free shipping ! Imagine how different the experience is for some in a poor or developing country !

Hence the learning process and the devotion to it is much higher because the price paid and the process by which its acquired is much more expensive hence the appreciation is much higher; which creates a sense of : I have to use this and make sure I'm ahead.

while we think its our divine right to be No.1, a Chinese individual who doesn't have that perception just works a lot harder than your average American, add to that the sense of having to achieve and beat the No.1 and you get a will that is tougher than steel to win this thing (and any other situation)
We are "Slipping" because we got too comfy in our No.1 spot; not because our education is worse. Its human nature.

India's focus on IT is really starting to pay back the dividends... The problem now is that their focus has to start to shift to quality.
Although they are becoming a threat for people in NA (in terms of job competition) I wonder how long NA customers can go with the quality issues in the Indian IT market and work force. Anyone who's dealt with an outsourced call center in India will certainly relate to that
I'm by no means flaming India, in fact, I'm pretty amazed at how far they went and wish them all the best; but I believe unless they shift to the next gear (Quality) they will fall as fast as they climbed up..

Symantec had always filled the gap for M$ from you average home user stand point. Given M$'s "Embrace and Extend" policy which we all know what it did to companies in the past, How long do you think M$ is going to spare Symantec with M$'s "new focus" on security ?

I'm not saying they did.. I'm just saying that and NVidia card has drivers that are friendly to opensource. you can get it working pretty easily. They show a level of commitment to users of opensource OSes such as Linux and *BSD.
I thought NVidia is pretty open source friendly... And those guys have no chance of competeing with NVidia, so I'm not really sure what they are trying to prove ?

Why is it that every HUGE budget allocated to some pursuit of security always almost leads to UnSecurity.
