    Not in the South. Republican surgence in the South is recent. All the big racists of George Wallace fame in the South were Democrats. Jim Crowe laws were instituted by Democrats. Big money was Democrat, thep political machine was Democrat. All the stuff blacks put up with in the south came from Democrats. NONE of it came from Republicans.

    The fact that the Republicans are racist myth continues to be so strongly defended underscores just how sweeping that propaganda coup has been.

    Of course affordable healthcare so people don't die in the street is also a value. Giving people a wage they can live off of is also a value. But those don't count I guess

    Statements like this are pretty good proof that libeals, while possibly more educated, are generally stupider than conservatives. No one in this country is dying in the streets because of lack of affordable health care, nor are people starving to death or living homeless because they can't get a job and no one is there to help them with the necessities of life.

    Only an idiot would make the claim, in the flying face of all evidence to the contrary that Americans are dying in the streets because of lack of health care or beccause they can't earn enough money to live.

    And all the people who make the above claims and believe them vote Democrat.

    A more effective intelligence test would be to ask a series of idiot questions, which demonstrate beyond doubt that the person makes decisions totally connected from cold, hard reality.

    Here are a few samples. Any answer of yes labels you as an idiot.

    1. Partial Birth abortion is not infanticide.
    2. America is a greater threat to world freedom than Communist China.
    3. George W. Bush is a greater threat to liberty than Fidel Castro.
    4. Iraq was better off under Saddam Hussein.
    5. Osama bin Laden is happy that Bush won re-election.

    Agreed. Democrats successfully painting Republicans as racist is the greatest propaganda coup in history since EVERY real civil rights gain Blacks have ever made and continue to make has been because of Republicans. Heck, the Republican party was FORMED as a single-issue party: abolition.

    Aspyr does a very good business porting Mac games. The problem is, the Mac market is actually quite profitable, especially the home/soho market, but the PERCEPTION is that it is not, and the few companies who make good money in that market BECAUSE of that perception have no incentive to change that perception.

    So, while folks on slashdot go on and on about how miniscule the Mac market share is, blah, blah, blah, companies like Aspyr, Ambrosia, Mark/Space, the Omnigroup, Unsanity, etc. run solid businesses writing Mac software.

    Bush on the price of oil: We need to improve domestic production, build more refineries, open up ANWAR, and resume drilling in the gulf.

    Kerry on the price of oil: We need to negotiate with OPEC, reduce energy consumption, pump tax dollars into alternative energy sources.

    Bush on terrorism: We need to kill them.

    Kerry on terrorism: We need to get France and Germany involved and put them in jail.

    Bush on Social Security: We need to move it toward individual private accounts.

    Kerry on Social Security: We need to keep it exactly the way it is now and pray it doesn't collapse before I've served my two terms.

    Bush on Health Care: We need to push for more market forces in the health care industry so competition can drive prices down.

    Kerry on Health Care: We need to nationalize our health care system so we can all get on waiting lists like in Canada.

    So true. We suck at imperialism. I mean we aren't even installing governors, demanding tribute, rounding up the people for census and special tax levies, creating dual citizenship laws and privileges in the tribute state or taking local leaders hostage to Washington D.C. to keep the local populations in line. Instead we do things like train local armies, establish democratic governments and push for free and independent elections. You are so right, we need to start running our empire like the Romans.

    Can you people please get your story straight? Which is it: Bush is all bluster and no action, or a reckless cowboy who can't wait to fire the guns and can't be bothered with talking?
