Why people start worshipping google like religion ? It does few things so poorly that I switch to a9.com or even search.msn.com

If google does things so poorly that you need to switch to something, why switch to a9.com when their websearch and image search uses google?

In your case, I would recommend not watching the news. It might be too hard for you to understand, and it seems to confuse you. I'm not sure about the US (which you seem to be from), but here in Norway, we have a weekly newspaper for mentally retarded people called "Klar Tale" (Clear Speech), which I keep recommending to people as confused as you are. It might be easier to understand for you, and should be enough to give you a somewhat broader picture than FOX News.

I do not claim to agree with the politics involved and the rationalization of the war but even in Norway you have to admit that things that happen on the otherside of the world affect you at least to some extent.

It might be a nice hobby to know what's going on in Iraq, but it has little or no consequences for our daily lives.

How do you figure that it has little or no consequence on our lives? Everything that happens in washington lately has been a result of an act of terrorism which led to this war. Actually Sept 11 happened because of the hatred of the US and its ideology by people on the other side of the world. No in addition to everything our economy is being affected.

So yes we ARE affected by what is going on in Iraq and other parts of the world

Give an example where the verb disappeared from usage: TiVo may day, but I suspect we'll still be 'TiVoing' things in the future

a good example is what a previous poster said. Xerox While the company is not doing that well now and there are many more well known copier manufacturers out there. Most people still refer to it as a Xerox copy I have yet to hear any one say "Lets make a Minolta of that document"

So do you believe that PDA's will then bring more tourism to places that only get 3 tourists a year? Maybe I am in the minority but when I plan a trip abroad I know in advance where I am going. Well, at least the mayor cities. granted while I am in the city I may go by the seat of my pants but I have a general Idea where I am going. So a PDA while nice would not motivate me to travel to a destination that is not already in my itinerary.

The company is sitting on money that has not been put to much good use.

AS the other poster pointed out. This money is sitting in a bank where it is being invested. How do you supposed banks make money? it is not only on the monthly fees they charge you. This is why they can afford to waive the fees if you have more than a determined amount deposited in the bank.

Additionally, do you really think Bill Gates has billions of dollars in the bank? A large percentage of that is net worth including stocks bonds stock options etc. all of these support other businesses thus keeping the economy going. The economy is not solely supported through consumer goods

This is not correct. The logon options of Win2K/XP come long after the admin password has been selected. This option is the last thing it asks for right before the first person logs on to the system. And if it is going to be part of a domain, the single user logon is not even an option. Granted, W2K/XP allows you to have blank Admin passwords but that should be a matter of policy and scripts can be written to check for null passwords.
