    Cheaper is often better. That means we can actually afford to do it.

    I doubt that geoligist would agree, and even if he did it would cost more to land him there than we spent on exploring mars so far. Nevermind the cost of keeping him alive for the weekend, no returning him.

    Supporting humans costs and arm and a leg.

    Without the ability to survive at that location there is no value gained in going there. If you are still stuck waiting on supplies from Earth there is no survivability gained.

    Robots are cheaper, send more of them to do different tasks.

    So far PR is the only reason I have ever seen for sending humans.

    Why would we not just put people in a dragon capsule? If we really cared about having a sack of mostly water on site.

    Why would we go to the moon? Why not send robots?
    It seems pointless to send humans to do something a machine can do better.

    The rich had access to food that was not rotting, did not starve, and water that was clean. For the vast majority of human history the amount and quality of food available varied greatly based on income and social standing.

    When I am in the car, my battery should never deplete. My car surely makes enough electrical power for this task.

    Phones today could have much longer battery lives if we did not sacrifice all the alter of thin. My galaxy nexus is more comfortable to hold with the extended battery pack. The entire device could be that thick and it would allow even more battery life.

    Yeah, they suck, but we also make them way too small.

    At some point the trick of bitcoins will suffer the same fate.

    Now you would not use his home page, just setup your own site for advertising. All the bitcoin alternatives will likely do the same thing to bitcoin.

    So far augmented reality seems to line up very well, based on my limited uses. What did you have problems with?

    Driving is when I want augmented reality the most. Give me a GPS overlay with directions and when it gets dark/foggy/rainy give me vision in other spectrum. Display my current speed and the legal limit where I am, basically I want a damn HUD.

    Smartphones already do that, it is called augmented reality. So I am not sure what you mean by "It's just a smartphone display."
