That and the design decisions they made. By coupling the engine to the wheels at high speed they are required to have a much more complicated drive system.
I read it fine. This is not much different than any other method of losing data. The cause is not a huge deal, fixing it is. I would assume I would notice as soon as the times on files looked wrong.
Because we replace them every couple years. Besides my homebuilt rigs last fine. Sure my power supply is a lot nicer than what dell provides, but that is what cheap gets you. I save in the long run though buy just replacing parts of the machine to upgrade.

My parents did that with two kids and a dog in a 1987 Corolla. Perhaps you overestimate what people need.

I agree, if you are willing to pay for all the externalities you should be able to do that. Currently you are not paying for those.

People unintentionally violate all kinds of laws and contracts. That changes nothing. It is not an argument for or against anything.
If a company or a person does that intentionally or not they can do what RMS said they would do. Delete the files or fix them.

Finally I can go out while on call and I don't have to lug around a laptop. I can just vpn in then do work if I get a call or something breaks.
But they are damn slow in linear writes compared to tape.
It uses a language like java, but could use any other just as well. Just like bytecodes that can be translated so can the human readable code.

Dalvik is not java. One is stack on is register based, they will not use each others byte code.
Desktop hardware. For really obscure stuff linux wins. Windows lacks drivers for wifi on most ARM SoCs for instance.
