while thire building small mp3 players, wouldn't it be better to just build it into a pair of headphones? no cables geting in the way and not as easy to lose.
i have never seen any of the older dr who episodes, i think i have seen a dr who movie but i can barely remember it, but i absolutely love the new episodes! every time they have a "to be continued..." episode I sit and plan how to infiltrate the bbc james bond style just so i can see the next ep.
I really hope this new guy can match Eccleston, but right now i find Eccleston to be one of the best actors on tv, i even include voice actors in this statement. the scene in the last ep when he is holding a bfg and then throws it to the guy he is pointing it at saying "like i was ever going to use that" or something like that was brilliant.
sorry for sounding so fanboyish but this show seams to drag this side of me out in the open, my beloved sarcasm is blown away when dr.who is on hehe.
if you go to a theater people might notice that you have just seen tripple X 2 or something just as vile, eventhogh you only went and saw it becouse your friend loved version 1 and can't watch movies alone and you took pity on the fool/end rant
while you can shamelessly sit and see anything you want at home with actualy tasty snacks and a way better beer than what they serve at the movie theater, and you can do it as dressed or undressed as you want.
if apple suports it or not is not that relevant, apple is a niche group allready so if you were a software developer what would you develop for?
the ppc platform wich is harder to port to and has a definate deathsentence and no chance for market growth OR the new intel macs wich will be much easier to port to, has market growth posibilities and all that
some companies will find it easier and cheaper to just make new versions for the new platform instead of having an extra team of coders or even worse they will interpret that there is two groups and that neither has enough of a market to make it worth developing for since if apple has 14% now or whatever it was and 6% go to the new and the rest stay then they might think that 6% is too small and that the 8% part has no future and therefor ignore both.
Has anyone else noticed any direct consequences of this move by apple?
The ones i have seen have been rather negative, my dad for example scraped his plans of buying an apple computer next year when his current pc has become outdated. His reasons was fear that any current and future apples that come out before the new Intel ones and any software he will buy will become obsolete faster as software developers switch to the new Intel based platform and put more resources into that and that new versions of software might not be available to ppc apple users.
Also the net of sunshine, lollipops and grass is greener mentality i had shrouded apple with in my mind was ruthlessly torn off as my brain moved apple to the same category as dell and hp resides in.
I wish someone would port the ability to open bookmarks in tabs to mozilla, like it is done in firefox, that and the firefox search bar is the only thing that keeps me on firefox.
Yes i am aware of sevral plugins that will do this, but they are all crap and/or does so much id have to spend a lifetime going trough options just to get it back to a good state (im looking at you multizilla and Tabbrowser Extensions).
Mozilla starts up in around 1 second on my computer (2.7 p4 running debian) and firefox starts up in around that time or slower. mozilla is more stable and i can keep it open for weeks at a time while firefox starts sucking up memory like a whore in a bank managers convention in only a day or two.
I still use mozilla for mail, why? because it starts as fast as thunderbird or faster and feels smoother so why bother?
Windows is not trademarked in any country that has english as it's native language, in all other countries it is not a common word and can be trademarked
or did you forget that there are more languages out there?
yes i got that too and i was wondering what the heck was going on... q3 had run so nicely before etc.. it seams like gkrellm actualy was the problem, when i shut it down i got no such problems as you describe
but it does not hapen just as often as it seasm to hapen to you and on my mandrake comp with an slightly older version of gkrellm it does not hapen at all, the comp it is hapening on is a debian testing by the way.
well as long as you know that msare greedy, you should notice that it's a fake mail, would a greedy company offer a patch or even a virus for two versions that it no longer suports (win 95 & 98);)
would be much smarter to make the companies who's voulnerabilities alowed for the trojan/worm/virus to infest the comp, instead of having the users do it...
if a car maker has a flaw in it's engine causing it to blow up, should the car user or the car maker be forced to pay the damages?
"Even if Google technologists aren't up to the task (yeah, right)"
google's web search feature is truly the best one, but for example thire image search is not as good as good ol altavistas, sure on some searches googles image search will give you better results, but altavista image search is still in general better
so yes, google tech might not be up to the task.
also wouldn't such a search put a bit more strain on the poor p2p servers out there since, files go up and down on the networks more easily than web pages, so they will have to search even more to stay current, or only post results on files with many shareing...
put the aerosol can down, american pig!:p
when all that ice starts to melt huge chunks of ice will break off and start to drift south into the golf stream, if the golf stream gets cooled down the weather over here in europe will drasticaly change for the worse (alaska is on the same degree as sweden but sweden is way warmer due to the golf corse)
