SHN is not Free enough, idiot. FLAC Is the key.
Also, I will not buy music if any corporation at all is in any way involved in this, because all corporations are evil.
Of course you're biased. If you have an opinion, you're biased. Of course, there is absolutely nothing wrong with that as long as you don't pretend you're being objective. Calling someone "biased" nowadays is just like calling them a racist ten years ago. Meaningless insult.
If you're going to get a laptop for college (I'm planning on getting a 12" PowerBook), make sure you get insurance. Insurance from Safeware protects against theft and accidental damage. I was quoted at $200 per year for $4000 worth of equipment (their minimum). Think about it--would you rather pay $200 per year for a few years, or pay $1500 to replace an LCD screen that you spilled beer on?
(Disclaimer: I don't work for these guys, nor do I actually do business with them yet--but I do intend to purchase insurance when I actually get my laptop.)
They just don't like selfishness - actions that are taken at the expense and harm of others.
What you described is not selfishness--it's altruism in reverse. Both are horribly evil.
I'm pretty sure I ordered a Quarter Pounder with Cheese when I was in London. Of course, maybe the cashier was just used to stupid Americans and didn't say anything.
When/if that happens, I and most people will stop buying games, and Microsoft will lose money and realize they must change their practices. No regulation required.
The way things are now, Microsoft makes a great profit, game developers get games done faster and better (so they get a huge profit), and end users get a game that runs smoother. Everybody wins, except for socialists who don't believe in private property anyway, and who gives a shit about them?
That sounds useful.
How long before Gentoo incorporates this?
Thanks! I was feeling a little low on condescending bullshit today, but this will do. HAND.

least funny comment on slashdot ever
I wasn't aware that only robots were allowed to post on Slashdot.
I know someone that goes to school with you, and they say you spend all your time fucking 10 year old boys in the ass.
He meant expensive to Linare.
Who said anything about hating America or destroying economies? I just want you to die. And if you're going to flame, at least do it logged in.
I hope you get hit by a fucking bus, dickhead.

Come live at my house. You can try riding your goddamn bike 25 miles to work when it's 30 degrees below zero with 25mph winds blowing in your face.

Do you even know what unbiased means?
Or you could just buy a regular goddamn car and drive wherever the fuck you want to go.
