My C.V. currently runs to 8 pages, I have heard that they should be shorter but never from an agency or during an interview. As long as your main/current skills and roles are on the first page I don't think it matters.

I am a contractor so it might be different for permanent applications but I would of thought that employers would be at least as interested in a detailed C.V. for permanent candidates than they would be for contractors.

When I think of loyalty, I think of the guy who works 60 hours of good work, or more if necessary, because he cares about doing a good job, and he cares that the company is succeeding because of his work.

When I think of a guy doing 60 hours or more for a salary I think "what a mug".

There is no such thing as employer loyalty, so the sycophantic 60 hour types are just screwing it up for everyone else.

There's a volcano on the Canary Islands that could erupt and trigger a tsunami that would deluge the Eastern coast of the United States.

I don't think it even needs to erupt, a documentary on tsunami said that the volcano is made up of very badly weathered rock and could collapse under its own weight. If it did that the millions of tonnes of rock sliding into the water would send a tidal wave across the atlantic that would knock out most of the east coast of the US.
