    Or so I've heard...

I've never had to do that myself. The few things I've needed licenses for where only on my computer for a short time, then deleted.

For a lot of people (myself included), the OpenOffice suite has a way to go before it replaces MS office on my computer or in most organizations that care about my opinion.

If he wanted to "fix" things, he would have done so instead of adding more crap instead. Adding crap took precident over fixing problems to the point where fixing problems can not be his goal.

I'm far from a first time buyer but I am pretty sure that the $199 Lycoris model will be my next computer purchase. I have a good server, I have a good workstation, I have a good test machine, I just need another machine for my room mate, something to play around on. I don't play games, don't see any real need for more power than that computer has.

And I've been meaning to try Lycoris anyway.

IF (capitolized on purpose) Lucas was actually re-releasing those films for the reasons you listed, then the HORRID Taun-taun (Tawn-tanwn?) in Empire would have been replaced (you know the one I mean) and Greedo would not have shot first, and that black thing on the emperor's cowl in the climax of Jedi would have been fixed.

Those things are all the evidence I need to say that money was all he was worried about.
