Here's an easier and should be more logical way to make the conversion, without even burning a CD. 'burn' the cd to an image file, then open the image in Daemon Tools, etc and rip it back simple enough... painless even.
A hassle? It took me less then 5 minutes to google for the correct packages, download them all and install them, to restore mp3/divx/etc. It's removed because of licensing restrictions. It's not their fault, blame the damn patent Nazi's out there. The files all exist to correct this 'feature' on servers out of the country and outside US jurisdiction.
Sure, I'm a Linux user, but I'm no guru at it. I'm still learning the higher level stuff. Windows, I do in my sleep.
Besides, like Windows, if you're looking for help as a new user, you ask a friend or post to a message board and they're quite happy to help. It's rare to have any issue not resolved inside of a half hour if you really try.
I do this as well. If I'm bombarded with your product, you can be sure I won't buy it and tell friends/collegues not to as well. If I want information on your product, I'll surf the web for it.
It's like cable, at least out here in Arkansas is really pissing me off. At least once an hour and as often as once every frigging commercial break is these lame series of ads about how pirating cable is bad, you're starving the workers, etc... Advertising like this just makes me WANT to pirate in defense for dealing with the crap you shove at me.
Right now, I'm a work at home dad, so I unfortunately watch more TV then I mean to... and I can almost guarrentee the commercial layout by the hour.
**Spolier**
Nope;) but good guess.
He's just a horn dog that is being manipulated. And wait till you see the final episode, Kobol's Last Gleaming, Part 2:)
I'm feeling generous. If you seriously want a g-mail invite, email me privately and I'll set you up. I've got 5 of them just sitting there, already handed out one to all my friends.
Actually, the quote is:
If it wasn't for my horse, I never would of spent that year in college...
Love Lewis Black, he tells it like it really is.

League of Extraordinary Gentlemen, my guess.
